i knew the frisbee was a skull and bones plot,
its funny when i read main being so large HA... so large...funny...
thought a scott invented the tele?

Being from Georgia I am not surprised... it is a big thing here ...

That South Dakota is the only State that hasn't had an earthquake is not nearly as surprising to me as the supposed fact that 49 have....

pretty sure he meant television because that's the only thing mentioned in the list- didn't see telephone.

at any rate- yes a Scot (Scottish born) did invent the telephone- our favorite around here- AG Bell (cough).

Re Alaska having pilots, it's due to how alaska is so remote that you can only reach certain areas by plane.

How old is this list? Yes, DE had many scientist and engineers, back when DuPont, Hercules and ICI were big here. Though we may still have the most, our big "industry" has been banks for many years.

That Mall Of America is so big that I don't like going. I can't even finish one floor before saying I want to go home! I'm tired ! :)

Yeah, my sis who lives in Faribault got to know the place so well when it first opened up that now when she goes, she knows exactly where to park and the store (s) she wants to shop at and gets out pretty quickly......

I'm guessing most of the earthquakes weren't even felt, just registered on the richter scale. I just read a headline that Daytona Beach had one.

FLORIDA............At 874.3 square miles, Jacksonville is the largest city in the U.S.

and lived here since '72-'74...and still haven't seen all of the city...

South Dakota has had earthquakes, the black hills just didn't suddenly appear. In 1966, Rapid City was struck be an earthquake that measured 4.1 and the largest recorded in modern times was 5.1 and hit two years earlier in the Wind Caves National Park area. In the last year alone SD has had 5 earthquakes. Every state in the union has had earthquakes. The largest earthquake in the contiguous US happened in 1811/1812 and was centered in New Madrid MO, and has been estimated at 7.5 or greater. The largest earthquake in the continental US happened in Prince Edward Sound AL, in 1964, and measured 9.2 on the richter scale and the ground shook for over 5 minutes, in the end 115 lost their lives and the pacific plate moved west by 68 feet.

The Mall of America is just like any other mall in America except they have the duplicates and triplicates of thesame stores on three of the four floors. Nothing different than any other mall, shopping wise. They do have two things that other malls don't seem to have: one. an amusement park in the center and an observation area to stand by and watch the busses come in to drop of the women who have flown into the airport for their shopping experience. I watched them get off the buses for over an hour and never saw one man get off a bus!

Delaware is the 2nd smallest state. I've been here since '67 and still have not seen everything.

Seb, I know. I live close to it. Do you? IKEA is also right next door to the mall, it's so big I can't do the whole store at one time. But that makes it fun. There's too many goodies in that store.

I have got to get there.. lol.. always wondered what it's like just to look around Mall of America. And I love IKEA. I miss going there. We had one of the first in King of Prussia PA.. used to take something like 1.5 hours to get there- but well worth it.
