I still drive down the middle of the road. Both sides have good and bad points, people, etc. I refuse to take the entire party platform of either side, when they have views that I differ with. Independent thinker, that is me.

I am independent and I asked if I could register Finlay too so he could vote in the primaries. Finlay had very good judgment in people , better than some people I knew.

Same here, back in 2006, I registered as democrat but switched to independent after 2010.

In our state anyone can vote in any primary, so registration doesn't make a difference.

How does that work? You could vote for someone in the other party you feel could lose to your candidate in your party?

If a voter wants to do that, it's possible. That's not what I do. I vote for the candidate that I want to win the election.
