Hello,

I was driving on US Route 11 in my area and the biker made an illegal passing over solid yellow line, so I had to slow down so quickly as this biker passed into other lane. It is not new for me to caught some bikers that broke the traffic law.

There is two version - slow motion and normal.

For best result, I recommended you to use 720p or 1080p.

Slow motion
Bad biker - slow motion version

Normal version
Bad biker - YouTube

That biker almost became your new hood ornament ... wow that was close!!

Yes, I'm being nice to slow down for him to pass into other lane and I was scared that he could be thrown into my windshield.

The truck in oncoming traffic nearly ran off the road to avoid hitting the motorcycle

Riding a motorcycle is risky when you follow traffic laws .. I don't understand these bikers that make it even riskier by breaking traffic laws like an illegal pass on a double yellow.

Big Moe aka Foxrac, I thought that you said you can't drive. Anyway, assholes like this biker are everywhere.

I would have sped up and had my cam rollin to post up to youtube, dumbasses on bikes dont need a break....well, broken bones are ok.

No, I didn't say that I can't drive, but late stage of US/RP could cause loss of ability to drive. I had US/RP checked last month and only lost very tiny amount of degree, so unchanged for 4 years now and my US/RP progress is extremely slow so I may not become legally blind until 50s or 60s.

I drove at night without any issue, even in rural with little or no light, but having a good headlight is MUST and city with plenty of lights are easy as cakewalk.

There are plenty of good bikers on road, even more than bad bikers. ;)

That would be very funny, but there are few scenarios if you hit this biker, such as vehicular homicide (if he killed), loss of auto insurance (SR-22), driver license suspension, citation for reckless driving and legal action by biker's families.

It isn't worth for my money to speed up and I had to slow down a little bit for better future (no felony record), that's just me. :D

I noticed that other truck slow down and almost got off the road.

Oh, OK... anyway when I say assholes like this biker, I mean people like your neighbor, co-worker or even your boss, biker, driver, classmate, hotel owner who forbids service dogs, etc. Assholes are everywhere.

I know what you means. ;)

I discussed with police chief today to got more awareness about this incident, but unfortunately, I didn't know about this biker or tag number and he told me if I did know, so they still cannot issue citation because police officers are required to physically see any violation before they can cite. He told me that our city (4,000 population) only have 2 police officers on duty all time (used to be 4 before 2008 financial crisis), so I was quite surprised about how small is police size. The crime rate is very low and not necessary to have more officers, but there are plenty of crazy drivers that I have deal with it.

Also, city borders are confusing too - different jurisdiction so that why I prefer to report to sheriff department because they will working with city police department if location is really in city jurisdiction, but city police will tell you go to other station.

Ten States With the Worst Drivers

No wonder about my state is 5th worst driving.

That's good that you are learning something new. Of course, cops can't do nothing because they didn't see it, therefore they can't ticket the asshole biker for your sake.

It isn't my expectation to ticket the asshole biker but I just brought awareness, that it.

My state is #2--no big surprise.

Oh, it sounds like a waste of time, IMO.

Good citizens talk to police or sheriff so often, even sheriffs in my county know me very well.

Only people who don't care like you think it is waste of time.

What if the biker is from another town or state? If you see the same biker again and again, I am sure the cops will do something about it for safety purpose. If you see him once, he's long gone. That's why the cop asked you, "What do you want me to do?".

Most bikers in my area is localized and I'm familiar with some of them.

You funny - they never asked me like that, police chief thanked me for alert them and they are mostly patrolling on road for safety reason since crime in our city is very low and only 2 officers on duty so they mostly pull drivers up and cited them for violation.

Even, state troopers and sheriffs are patrolling the road too.
