Just being curious here, because a few hours ago, I tried to access www.convorelay.com, and was blocked by Chrome from doing so. the https:// portion was crossed off and had a red X on it. That led me to wonder if maybe my info has been compromised?

can access ConvoRelay just fine. either you need to check your Chrome add-on security setting or your ISP has blocked the access.

Hmm. Well, it's not my ISP, that I know. Maybe it's the security on my new laptop that's blocking it. I'll check it later, as I'm headed to bed.

In chrome try going to chrome://extensions/ do you have any antivirus or anti-malware listed there? I would bet you have some security software that thinks the convorelay site is an unsafe site. To fix this I bet you'd have to disable some extension installed.

Avast antivirus. Had that installed nearly immediately after I obtained the laptop.

That's what I had to use to download the software. I tried to figure out why it was blocked by Chrome, but couldn't. At least I have the software now.

Fine here... so it wasn't hacked. (on a side note it is possible to hack ANY website if the hacker is determined enough).

Betting that the security settings in the Internet settings (or Chrome's) is too high. https means it is a secure site; has added security.

basic explanation-

HTTPS - What is HTTPS

Yes, can be firewall or the security settings on the browser that does not permit the certain websites to open.
