I'm thinking of all people who shopped for toy cars in late 1960s and 1970s. If you collect toy cars, you may be aware that some Hot Wheel redlines are worth a lot more than Matchboxes from same year ranges. For those of you who shopped for toys back then, do you wish you had picked a toy that would be worth a lot now ?

I've no kids so I have no idea about tangible factors such as if kids would break or lose toys. Would parents want to hold into all those toys over years?

I kind of think toys are worth what they are worth because people didn't think to hold into their toys. If everyone held in their toys over years, then they may not be worth what they are worth now.

My brother and I had toys as kids that would have been collectible if we hadn't played with them.

We had Mr. Machine, GI Joe (with lots of accessories and outfits), Barbies, Shirley Temple doll, Madame Alexander dolls, Star Trek (TV) toys, Western TV shows guns (from the 50's), Beatles, etc.

Since the 80's, I think my brother has been collecting science fiction mint collectibles.

I don't collect anything, although I still have some toys from my childhood (50's-60's).

My cousin is a toy expert on Antiques Road Show.

I wish I had some of my toys and Hopalong Cassidy cowgirl outfit that came a with gun . Some of the toys from the box of Cracker Jack popcorn are worth money too. They where made out of metal and really worked , like the little cars and wheel barrels . The flea market is a good place to find old toys. If you do see any toys that worth $$$ and are being sold cheaply you should not get too excited , the seller will pick up on that and realize they're under selling their self and want more $$$.

Some older discontinued Lego sets increase in value later on.

I had one set from 2006 that I purchased for $70 and I recently sold it for $250.

Magazine I had in 1988 for $1.75, and I sold it for $30.00.

I might had seen your cousin then , as I love to watch that show. It's the only reality show I like.

I have many porcelain dolls from around 1996-2000. I don't they are worth much yet.

Noel is the guy with the pony tail. :)

OK , I will be on the look out Noel , I think I had seen him before. My son in law and daughter tried to get on the show but had no luck . I guess people get pick out by a lottery ?

My mom had some star wars stuff that now are considered collectables. She also had comics that cost a lot now. I do have a barbie that could sell for a lot but thats all
