"What the h*** is wrong with women today?"

I haven't been on the dating scene in a loooooooooooooong time... A friend of mine about a year back convinced me to join POF to give it a try. I will tell you personally I got a bunch of chicks ( and dudes that couldn't read that I was a lesbian ) that wrote me daily, however I wasn't attracted to hardly ANY of them... So, I didn't write back. Simply put, if you're not attracted to someone, you're not going to write to them or continue a conversation. If on my first impression I don't see any sort of attraction, why would I persue? Secondly, I would get BOAT loads of emails that were poorly written at best. sumthin lik dey typ u lik dis n ask how u doin 2day. Sorry, I'm not even entertaining that with a reply. Don't want to go to the effort to write me a well written and legible letter, I'm not going to reply back. Education is very important to me in a partner, and that shows they don't have any. Lastly, they would write 1 word or a few words to start a conversation. Writing me and saying "Hey" or "Hey girl" or "You look cute" isn't a conversation starter. That just tells me you don't have any originality to put any effort into conversing with me. Personally, those were the issues I experienced, and if I as a lesbian encountered them, I'm sure straight chicks encounter them all the time and just eventually delete it or stop checking after a certain point.

I been thinking this about men too. I was out with my dog and using my cane and two men just watch me walking on the ice . What is the matter with men to day?? I can remember when men would help an older woman , now they just watch to see if you'll fall or not. And forget about holding door opening for you . I hardly see a man open a car door for the woman he with today. This work both way.

Well, this is another touchy issue, isn't it? Just remember an entire sex as a whole is not to blame, it depends more on how an individual carries themselves. Like in the article for instance, he made an observation about the indecisiveness of a girl, and thought ALL women must be this way. Not even close honey, it really will be a waste of time to try and change anyone. So why did he follow her to a dating site? She's not right for him, I think he's equally psycho and needs to make some changes himself.

Interesting reading, especially the comments below from similarly aggrieved men. As a POF user I unfortunately have to agree that it is almost impossible to get a conversation going with the women on there, nobody is good enough to talk to them!

I used POF and several other sites. The problem is on both sides-men and women. Im short, overwieght (I know I can change that though), and HOH but I am successfull and have a career. I dont lie and I dont photoshop my picture on these sites. Been doing this for years and had no results, 95% of the women on the site wont even look at a guy who is as short as I am, wont even give me a chance. I am a very nice guy, easy going, selfless and giving. Im not bad looking for my age and can accept alot of things.

The point I am trying to make here is-we tend to look at the stats written and the picture posted only, and thats a crying shame. Why because many of us have alot to offer NOT shown in our profiles. On top of that we tend to select looks first and discard the others never getting to know them.

Online dating is good for a small percentage and those very lucky-like wining the lottery. Its a huge money making racket for those hosting them.

I am lucky, met my current fiance through church and church friends. She got to know me for who I am and not some stupid profile :) She doesnt care that I am short or fat or even hard of hearing.

Those who are too picky will find themselves lonely or with someone just as shallow as they are. Dont be too picky but dont settle is my motto.

I have dated men way taller than me and a guy shorter than me. Some where good looking a few where not consider good looking by most women but they looked fine to me . As long they had one head, 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth that worked for me,. If they where in a w/c I could care less missing a leg no problem . I met a guy in a w/c that I really like but I moved back east and never got to know him better.

What were you expecting them to do? Pick you up and carry you? Why did you go on the ice in the first place?

I'm not a 10 but I'm also not ugly... I'm tall and slim and have a job and my own apartment, which is apparently more than a lot of the unemployed alcoholic pick up artists can boast. I also don't get a second glance, or often a response to my messages - and I write each messages especially for each girl, about something she's mentioned in her profile that I found interesting.

I'm not picky, but I have standards (some people have told me they're too low as it is). Unfortunately, women all seem to want billionaire bodybuilders with Brad Pitt's face and nobody else is worth of the princess' time.

I think i would be forever single if i asked for all those things. Lol. But the americans ask too much anf idk some of those profiles seem odd of the other places.
 
They're trying to make a point, so they've picked the best profiles to help their view. But so many of the American ones sound familiar.

The number of profiles I've seen that start with (or indeed, are nothing but) a list of what qualities the man must have and not have, and not to bother messaging her unless. If I were to be equally specific I'd be called a creep and a pig.

No you jerk , they could just help me walked across the ice instead of waiting to see if I was going to fall. I did no know it was so icy as there was snow on top on the ice . I had to take my dog to the groomer and it was very icy there and a guy working outside helped me get into inside . He DID NOT pick me up. My dog name was Brad Pitt and as soon as I got him home I change his name to Marty. I can't stand Brad Pitt .
I can see why you never get a second glance , women can tell when a guy hate women. Instead of crashing women how about working on your anger , I can cut it with a butter knife . You're very jealous of successful men too ,
and that is sign of being immature . You have no one to blame but yourself , I have seen men that are short and not a 10 with a woman . I had a client and she was about 6 feet tall and her husband was only around
5ft 4 inches and they been married for years .
