My name's brandi. 21's the age. I just moved here and I'm just wondering if any one of you deaf people live here? Or even know anyone who lives here? I would love to meet deaf people here (so I don't go nuts hanging out with hearing people haha). Seriously, drop me a line! I don't bite.

Hi Brandi!

I used to be at MSUM and did have contacts. The two best people I can tell you to contact is over at MSUM, they're both instructors of ASL: Carolyn Stabnow and Michelle (don't recall last name). Michelle attends Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead, so any of the pastors there will help you contact her. They also sign the service weekly.

Carolyn is hearing, grew up with some deaf siblings and, I believe, her mother was deaf; Michelle is deaf, has hearing family, although I believe she does have some siblings that are deaf. Carolyn works for equipment services in the state of Minnesota, which provides telephones and etc, to deaf and hard of hearing.

Feel free to contact them and tell them that Pete and Snickers sent you over. You're in good hands with both of them. Tell them both I said "Hi!" :cool:

I joined a sign language group that is helping our deaf community. We offer free services that tailor to our spiritual needs. This includes the Bible in complete sign free of charge.
