Well, I'm on the #22 Clark bus, and one person stunk up the bus REALLY good.

My question is this-- how many of you had this experience? And your thoughts?

That's life. You survived, didn't you?

that's why I don't live in city or take public transportations often.

I don't take the CTA too often, preferring to take the Metra. Ony reason I was taking it was because I was delivering holiday food to friends who did not attend the party today.

So? Don't take him home with you.

He got off before I did, so I wasn't worried about that. However, my coat probably smelled like diesel fuel, though, from this morning's Metra going through Rogers Park on Track 2. I never did like that. In fact, it does. I can smell it right now. Still quite a strong smell.

that's the life of poverty... or homelessness. deal with it. move on.

Don't think he was either..... he had fancy cigarettes and shopping bags with him when he got off. I'm thinking he works at a job that doesn't leave him smelling great when he comes home. That's my thoughts.

I really appreciate your feedback. I think I'll tell anyone who wants to buy a bike from me to not take Bus 22 my way. I wouldn't want my clients to be exposed to bad breath. You made my day!!!

Every day that I worked in Boston for three years with my last employer. There was a young man, that I *thought* worked out in the mornings and showered because his hair was always wet. Turns out he was just a pig. He smelled so bad waiting outside for the train that I had to move way down the platform. I've no idea who sat next to him but I felt sorry for anyone near him. I'm actually amazed no one kicked him off the train for smelling so offensive. He never bathed and smelled and looked like this everyday. Change of clothes but nothing ever touched soap.....:barf: He always had a backpack, which makes me wondered if he was taking a class, how it is the teacher never said anything.....

If I ever brought one from you, you'd be likely to find me at the Davis St. Metra Station, as transporting a bicycle is easier to do there than on the CTA.

Remembering this guy that worked in the Press Room (where I worked, but different department)...he always came over to our coffee pot for coffee....smelled so bad!...He was bald-headed, young guy....and you could see the dirt embedded in his head!....Our boss, who was a very "fussy" guy...ran him off and told him he could not come back for coffee until he took a good, hot and long bath!...
And a lady who worked in my department...she actually (it seemed) took a bath in Perfume....I was allergic and had to tell the boss and boy, was she mad at me!....So everybody was asked not to wear perfume.

I'm surprised he didn't get kicked off himself.... maybe he is well known on that particular bus at that particular hour? I have no idea. It's possible he has a job that he smells clean to, but comes back home smelling stinky to?

Perfume is bad for my lungs. I had a prior lung infection that may have partially scarred my lungs, and it's the reason I don't go out too much during the summer, and more during the winter, because the cold air is good for my lungs, but the summer air is not.

Just think....100 years ago, everyone wore heavy clothing during the summer, and deodorant was not widely available....not to mention people took baths once a month.

That reminds me...I better take my yearly shower soon....looks like mold growth on my left butt cheek....
