You know that E Bay has Bill Me Later program. I'm wondering if anyone of you used it. It seems like you don't have to pay any interest on your bill if paid within 6 months from time of sending payment. So as long as you pay within 6 months, there are no penalty. Is that accurate?

Would you be comfortable using it if you know you can pay back within 6 months?

I only buy from eBay if I have the cash in hand. If I don't have the money, I don't make the bid or purchase.

Never done bill me later... I have credit cards if I really want to be billed later... :laugh2: I am not sure as I'd trust that. :P

I don't buy on-line, period. It makes it a lot easier to rob a person's credit/debit card information, and I would prefer NOT to do that-- I don't want to wake up one day and find myself in a hole too deep to dig out of, thanks. If you want more info about how that happens, here's the link:

I hope this helps.

I use Paypal, they guarantee my security and will reimburse anything I lose. Other than that, if I make purchases from websites that don't accept Paypal I get a prepaid card for the amount.

I mainly use my debit card for paying bills, and that's about it.... I rarely use it for anything else other than that. If I want to pay for something using my debit card, I would go to that business early in the morning, before anything has a chance to happen.

Yeah, I used paypal when I purchased something from eBay. :)

I think Paypal is safe. :dunno2: I try not to live life being paranoid on everything. I understand stuff happens, and it very well could happen to me... However, that's why I pay for identity theft protection and credit monitoring. :P Plus, my credit cards, loans and debit card are all through Chase Financial, and they're SUPER awesome at alerting me to suspicious activity. I made over 10 purchases in 1 day and they emailed and called me while I was waiting in line to inform me of my "suspicious activity" ... :laugh2: It was nice to know they pay attention though. :dunno2: So I don't worry too terribly much, I just use common sense and don't go putting my SS# anywhere and shred personal documents. Again, just common sense I was raised up with doing. :dunno2:

Yeah, my dad told me the similar story about Chase bank when someone been using his card in different state and they promptly stopped his card and give a new one. Chase is a very good bank as I heard... I've been with my BOA and did had some alerts and they stopped my card when they became suspicious when I was on vacation so I called them and said I'm on vacation and told where I am to confirm it... lol

:laugh2: Don't ruin my vacation BOA! :laugh2: I was with BOA for a short while, but I had very bad experiences. I also don't like how when you walk in a BOA it's like lock down holding in a federal penitentiary. When you walk into a Chase, you could walk right up and slap the clerk if you wanted to! It's like a hotel setting almost, you walk up to a desk and talk with them and you're face to face, not behind some huge glass piece, I always thought that was nice about Chase. Also, I lent a friend some money a week or so back. She paid me back by writing me a check. ( from BOA ) I was just going to cash it and keep the cash on hand for extras and what not. Since the check was from BOA I went to BOA to cash it. They charged me $7.00 TO CASH THEIR OWN CHECK! WTF!? If I write someone a check from Chase and they go into a Chase to cash it, it's FREE! BOA charges money to cash their own checks!? I thought that was pretty friggin lame... keeps me away from them. I have heard of some people loving them. ( My friend has been with them for ages ) I personally can not stand anything about them. Everyone has their own experiences though. :P

I never get charged for cashing my check, I think that is for new customers. Been with BOA since 1995 with few issues that is resolved. When the recession struck, banks were looking to add up all the ridiculous fees for new customers who signs up. I use direct deposit and use debit for most of my purchases, and never have issues so far but I monitor my statement to make sure all my transactions are correct.

I was on vacation and they saw that I was in unusual place, but I inform them that I was going into another town. At least it's good thing they did the job to stop my card as it were in someone else's hands.

I've heard some people have bad experience with BOA, sometime you can't please people with businesses. I had Wells Fargo for a couple years in Texas with my first job which I put in my savings and cash checks sometimes.

My mom is with Wells Fargo. Here in Florida they used to be Wachovia. I loved Wachovia. I was with them for a good bit. When Wells Fargo bought them out a few years ago I jumped ship and went to Chase. :P Everyone will always have something bad to say about somewhere, no matter where it's at... that's how I see it. :P

BOA sucks. I have Chase, and I trust them. I use my account for paying my bills, and rent. They're very good, and I've been with them for 36+ months, and will soon be entering my 4th year with them. In fact, there's a new bank they just built, and I'll be headed there for the 1st time tomorrow.
