I am against the death penalty. We are all humans and don't have the right to kill one another for any reason.

By the way, the convicts were recently captured.

The answer to that is simply that more and more parents are not raising their children to be law abiding citizens.

If they were staying in a hotel then they had money. Someone from the outside had to known and helped them. The ones that helped needs to be caught as well.

Actually, he did. His original sentence was for death.

However, before the sentence could be carried out, the death penalty was temporarily eliminated by the California Supreme Court. So, his sentence was changed to life in prison. Later, when California re-instated the death penalty, it could not be reapplied to Manson since his sentence had already been commuted to life.

Yes, they do that all the time in SC. However, those aren't the prisoners with life sentences on the side of the road. Those are usually "trustee" prisoners.

I'm personally don't believe in death penalty but I'm neutral when come with government - just stay away and it is not my thing to tell the government to halt the death penalty. I strongly believe in victim's choice about want murderers to executed or not.

I heard on the news that someone from 'inside' the jail could had help them escape. New rules and laws will be made and some has been made already.

This wouldn't ever happen because they are going to pay for their crimes in the American prison system. It is true that some prisons in other countries are either more lax or more rigorous than the American prison system.

In Japan prison system, they treat prisoners like property and it is one of most strictest prison system in the world.

In Thailand, you can face death penalty if you smuggle the weeds into their country and their prison is extremely terrible. That's no American court system, no jurors, so judge make ultimate decision - they can point their finger at "death penalty".

Inmates have options. The prison system do try to prepare them for the outworld. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't me it drink.
