Pissed

You have to kidding! So if you got screwed over by a tire store it would be OK with you?? The guy knew which tire needed work on but he was trying to get me to spend more $$$ than I needed by working on the WRONG tire that was a 'new' tire. No, you got it wrong the tire guy needed to take classes in how to be honest so people would not get ripped off!

Yes...

It's possible I am joking..

yes that right i said dont pay for service you dont get.see what others have said on fb about company whats your problem...i feel as pissed as him if happened to me

It was a pay up front deal, $20 cheaper for cash, so I paid cash. That will never happen again. They charged up front because some people don't return for the wheel after repairs... I think its a scam, where people stopped payment on card or check due to the bad work. I know next time I pay when work is done.... never again. We live, we learn.

This isn't your fault, but you didn't ask the shop to save you money. You asked them to fix the wheel and they gave you a price, there's a difference.

I ran into a similar experience myself when I took my car to a shop for a brake job. The shop said the caliper was bad that they gave it to a welder to fix. It cost more than a factory caliper would have cost me. In fact, one wheel cost me more than an entire brake job. In retrospect, it was my fault because I should have gone to a junk yard and gotten the part myself.

So, I have to ask, why did you not just look for alternative wheels? If the tires were still good it makes sense to check the junk yard first. In fact, most junk yards today shelf certain parts to save the customer effort.

wheels? junkyard? good luck!

Give 'em Hell, Sono...picket the place. We females do seem to get more dishonesty from car repair shops than men do....I've had my fair share. Luckily, I've found a reputable repair shop for the past 4 years tho'., and know the owner well and his work is excellent and reasonable.

and I still have a set of aluminum wheels 15" sitting in the garage since the guy who sold them to me wont do a refund, My fault for not checking first. He told me they were the 16" wheels, but when I got home and wouldn't fit, I noticed they were 15's ARRRGGGGGHHHH !!!! that was $100 mistake.
15" 5 on 115 if anyone needs wheels

I took the wheels from my wifes van to have repaired. The shop Charged $140 each to weld the cracks, turn, smooth and refinish as well as dismount and mount the tires. I got the one back after several days of being repaired supposedly....
All they did was hammer the dent out, still cracked, no welding done, nothing but tire holding air?
I asked and they said, oh, we didn't need to weld it as its holding air. I said I was quoted $140 for it to be repaired ( welded..ect...) so I asked if there was a refund being they didn't weld it and only hammer the piss out of it, not even remotely straight? They flat out said NO !
So, I liked their page on facebook and let loose on it at well as give a negative review on their website and I filed a claim with BBB... I am pissed. They said if I wanted it welded, they would still do it but need to leave it another week... bullshit, with their shoddy work already, I want a refund and go someplace else. Lying bastards !!!

damn. they're definitely dishonest. sorry to hear that you got screwed.

Yes, I know, but you don't need the exact wheels you just need wheels.
If money is an issue, looks are a lesser concern, right?

How old is the van? In the future, you might be able to find replication parts as well.

I'm sorry this happened. We all live and learn..

Van is 2004 Chevy Venture LT AWD with Disney Package, The wheels are hard to find/rare, for the size, backspacing /off-set... it would be hard to match something up out of the salvage yard, either the rim will stick out and rub the fender or sink in and rub the a-arms, there is a lot to deal with when getting replacement wheels, its not as simple as finding the same bolt pattern.

Yep, they all looked at me funny when I turned and walked out, the customers in there were looking around as well when they heard that they didn't perform work I was quoted as well as no refund for work not done. I know if it was me watching another get screwed Id turn and walk out and find another place. Its a shame they did this, because I always seen the place ( was in my old hood ) and heard you can get good deals on custom wheels ( which I almost got some before for my truck ) but after this, I will never set foot on that lot again. If they give me a refund, they can mail it.

Dude, you are building a home that had a broken foundation! Surely, a wheel on a van is NOT a major event for someone such as yourself.

I'm not worried...

LOL, well, if the van gets fixed then I have a vehicle as well...lol
All the wheels are holding air now except one on the back has a slow rim leak due to dirt and grass in the bead so I need to have it cleaned and re mounted. It looks cocked as well, maybe a bent axle or bad hub? Im going to let a shop deal with it from here. But once its fixed my wife has her van back and I get the Infiniti. And I have the van to haul stuff if needed, right now Im screwed with no vehicle.(truck or van)
