This is a very sad and unfair situation but it wasn't a matter of them working "just under full time." One worked three hours a week, and the other worked two hours per day. Not anywhere close to full time.Ah, the world of minimum wage slavery and it's many evils. Work for little compensation, no benefits and keep you just under full time and a raise you get a nice shiny nickle extra an hour....

Since they worked so few hours, it seems that management could have kept them on.
