Head transplant??!!!

The possiblity of a" successful" head transplant for humans is only a copmuter suggestion.

Everyone is safe for the next thousand years. The only problem who lives for a thousand years?

Is this an update on the problem: how angels can dance on a pin head?
 
A "head transplant" is the way a friend referred to it when I copied her head from one group photo to another. I liked the expressions on more of the people in a different one than in the one that she like hers the best on. So . . . I copied her head from one shot to another. She liked it just fine and said that she didn't think she had ever had her head transplanted from one photo to another.
 
Hey Dr, I want this head, kill him if you need to... I don't care if color doesn't match!!

if got headache which one would it be the thought of migraine in both heads awful.i think you find it german shepherd dog and it lived for short time..remember seeing pic in paper..just awful
 
Drphil,why bring in medieval theologianss weird arguments ?? what's this to do with head transplant? we are in the day of just about ANYTHING can be done....science have already done HEART transplant and that was done since1967!!...severed fingers can be sewn back on (fingers dont have muscles just ligaments for 'strings'...
We're not in 1600s you know...

but people wont be looking at bodies when talking to you, unless they wanna a biological game with that body which is carrying your head...
your 'soul' is in the brain, not the body...in the pineal glands (well that's what the Chinese thinks)
 
Considering i am commenting on this computer-hardly live in times past.

Whether "science" can or can't do Head transplants in the "far off future"- will anyone reading this be able to confirm?

As what science has DONE-I have one: A Cochlear Implant!
 
With all of the latest technological advances, it would seem that medical science should stop while it is ahead.

I know I was just wondering if you saw this yet. I know , it remind of Twilight Zone show I saw once , people could go into a room and pick a new body . I just never thought people would be getting new faces or body parts . If I was in a horrible accident or fire I do not want to be saved and made into a Frankenstein .

We talked about this in Philosophy class at Gallaudet when Dr. Haynes was teaching (he passed away a few years ago). He said the technology to take the human head and transplant it on a new body was developed in the 50's.
 
How about a body transplant? Grow one in a vat and then have your brain put into it. You could have a sex change!

Nah, I am not too comfortable with the idea of crying at sappy movies, not being able to parallel park, falling for the "bad boy" type, asking random people if my butt looks big and pondering over which color to paint my nails.
