LTE recently lives here near Atlanta. I had tested speed test for AT&T LTE on my smartphone. Holy smoke, it was very fast. I did made VRS call on mobile P3 and there are no blurry and cropped. I glad that it help us see each other clearly.

Your speed is a bit faster than mine in Houston, giving me about 42k+ download speeds. It must be because the adoption rate is faster here than there, so there's more crowding that is happening here. I certainly would like to repeat the test out yonder on the ranch, to see if it's even faster out there even though I won't get LTE because of the real thin population out there. At the very beginning (I only got my phone recently), it was a bit faster, but still, it was FUNNY to see the needle pegged all the way over in the red on the download speed test! They're going to have to update the speedo graphic to reflect faster speeds.

Haha, I have Motorola Atrix HD and it does have LTE support. I haven't even got on LTE network since I bought it in end of July 2012. I will test the LTE speeds when I'm in a LTE coverage on vacation this summer. :) There is no LTE coverage here in Iowa, so far I know. HSPA+ 4G is not too bad...got up to about 8mbps or so. Speed Test isn't always accurate, but you get the idea.

It's called pixelation. Not blurry. Blurry mean out of focus or dirty on the len.

Our VRS are perfect clear and high FPS at around 8mbps or up. I don't see what's point to get 40mbps or up. Not everyone have over 10 mbps.

HSPA+ 4G is plenty fast out on the ranch because there's only 19,000 people in the whole county, with an average density of 20 people per square mile. I checked a few things on my boss' computer, and couldn't really tell the difference between her computer and mine in the Hive. I found out just now that access is about 20 times faster on the phone than on the computer in the Hive!!! However, what you can do with that data flow is also limited by your phone processor speed.

Well, to download long HD movie clips and upload long HD movie clips to youtube or similar. It takes forever to do that even at 10 mbps or so.

Oh really? How much is minute that you see as forever?

With 12 mbps - 1 GB movie takes 10 minutes, 2 GB movie takes 20 minutes.

Most HD movies are 1 GB to 4 GB.

With Wifi on my phone, it takes about 5-10 minutes to upload a 100 MB HD quality video clip. It would take forever for a HD quality clip lasting about 10-15 minutes.

We watch netflix almost everyday and it took 1-2 seconds to ready. It's cost only $9 a monthly. We don't need to sit and watch computer for upload or download. Just click then do other thing like play game, clean, talk, play huskies, etc. Do not necessarily to watch computer and wait till upload/download done.

Yeah speed do matter for upload/download as movie, big files, etc. . Do not matter for VRS or stream.

Of course, I can stream Netflix no problem via 4g HSPA+

Oh wow, I had same problem but it was my router, so I fixed it to get full speed. If router is rule out so it could be driver - some WiFi on Android is horrible because of bad driver.

If anything rule out - it could be slow server, not your side.

Yeah, I was thinking the same as well. I think wifi on my Mac Mini is faster and it's 2.4 GHz 802.11n support. It does support 5 GHz but most devices we have don't support 5 GHz except my phone.

What it sounded like possibly that AT&T had expanded their network and you happen to be on new network segment. Anytime when there are new set up network segment, in the beginning it will be blazing fast, eventually it will drop as more customers get on that new network segment. That applies to all kinds of Internet connection. Same concept with tower, they can only handle up to about 850 connections at same time, if over, other tower will take over if close enough.

One guy I met and know that person. They moved into Park Point (RIT owned property, managed by other company) and it was brand new. That person tested the speed and couldn't believe the speed, about the same as yours, except that upload was about 4 times faster than yours. 6 months later, that same person told me that their Internet speed dropped real bad. Found out why, it is because many students moved in and some residents that aren't student moved in there too, and many of them are using Internet so the speed decreased over time.

My friend, don't get too exciting. Wait up to a year before you know for sure. AND check your agreement with ISP on what speed they offer you. If they offered you lower than that, then they will eventually drop that speed.

Right, that is how videophone video looks like when one zooms video all the way in, pixels becomes larger and noticeable (Especially with HUGE TV)

Anytime when Deaf person calls me and complained that the video is blurry. I often observe and informed them that they are sitting about 11 feet away. At first they don't believe me. They actually got measure tape, almost every time, they asked me, your right, but how do you know it is 11 feet apart? Most videophone ideal distance is about 6 feet. If you are at 6 feet from VP, the video will most likely to be crystal clear cause you cant see tiny tweeny pixels but it is there.

Other factor that CAN affect video quality and one of them is bright window in background and that is a NO NO!

That's call digital zoom and I hate digital zoom. I like optical zoom better.

Optical zoom is afford and easy fit in the most thinner phone and optical zoom is so expensive, heavy, very thick but GREAT pictures.

That's why I like Z20 and it's perfect for business deck and close face without FAR AWAY and use digital zoom to make it awful pixelation.

Yeah, I wish they put optical zoom on videophones. I hate digital zooms as long I lived, lol

Sorenson nTouch VP uses digital zoom?
