what I'm saying is that Trayvon had a legal rights to defend himself and Zimmerman didn't.... and Trayvon died defending himself.

False! He would be in jail for murder since he attacked GZ. What's more, TM had no blood on his face which proved that GZ didn't attack him.If Trayvon took his gun during a fight and shot him, he would be protected by self-defense law.
Off point! GZ was not mugging TM.sure I'd shoot him but I'd be arrested.
you are not understanding it clearly. if you got a gun and you are mugging someone... but somehow he overpowered you and he's beating you to a pulp... you're gonna shoot him to protect yourself, right? but you're gonna go to jail.

Yes, the witness saw TM on top of GZ banging his head repeatedly on the sidewalk after he knocked him down by punching his nose which was broken. GZ said that TM saw his gun and tried to take it out but GZ got it first and shot him. He said that TM said "Okay, you got me". Then he fell off GZ's body onto the grass.Well...what's good for the goose should also be good for the Gander....
Z had his gun during the fight....and shot T...so he's not protected by self-defense?....Z was not threatening T with a gun to start with....and feel none of this would have gone down if T did not attack Z....beating the pulp out of him....
Also, believe I did read that T was shot "at a close range"...and if that's correct...then both Z and T were on the ground..??

Back to topic, "TM was on drugs". It doesn't mean that he couldn't get angry when he was high. Just saying.
Maybe I wasn't clear when I posted in a hurry.
Zimmerman didn't say that it was about Martin.
Zimmerman's messages were sent a few weeks prior to his confrontation with Martin. They were a result of recent break-ins in his neighborhood, and he was warning the other residents to be cautious about anyone fitting the description and behavior of suspected culprits.
People in our neighborhood do the same thing. It doesn't mean that they are racist or looking for a fight. Our neighborhood (subdivision) has a homeowners' Facebook account where we can keep each other informed about local stuff, good and bad. We post about lost dogs, school bus problems, vandalism, yard sales, speeders, covenant infractions, help finding repairmen, tree cutting rules, etc. One common posting is warnings about crime. We've gotten warnings about break-ins, stalkers, bikes missing from front yards, smashed mailboxes, and yes, suspicious-looking roaming teens. It's just neighbors looking out for each other.
My point is that ANY Black person would be a suspicious to Zimmerman. And
a lot of teenage boys fit TM description. I see boys dress like that a lot in my city. There is a big difference between looking out for your neighbors and stalking a teenage boy walking at night! TM would still be alive if Zimmerman had not try to take the law in his own hands. If I lived where Zimmerman lived and had a teenage boy I would be worried for my child safety knowing a crackpot likes Zimmerman it around. I would NOT want to live in the SAME town as Zimmerman! Zimmerman would not made me feel safe ,he is a danger to me!
No, no, no, TM was not afraid. Because if he was afraid, he would run to his father's girlfriend's home instead of attacking GZ. He didn't even know that GZ was carrying a gun so that's why he confronted and attacked him. In other words, it was not GZ's fault since he reported it to police and watched where TM went. TM got mad unnecessarily and thought that he was tough like a thug. Too bad!
if that's the case... then he would have got shot dead close to Zimmerman's car
as you can see in the map below - he was trying to run back to home.

I haven't heard anything that indicated GZ took the law into his own hands. GZ called 9-1-1. That is pretty much the opposite of taking the law into your own hands.
just by being armed and leaving your car to pursue him is taking the law into your own hands. there's absolutely no reason to do that when he told 911 dispatcher that he's up to something no good... he's got something in his hands/pants.... he may be on drug... and saying "these assholes they always get away"...
that sounds like a very dangerous situation and why would he get involved in it? ah yes.... cuz he's got a gun!
