Shot By Cop

Hand gun were never intended for long range shooting. They were designed limit range, that is where police usually needs them. Rifle on other hand which is more lethal, because it increases the shooting range, can as far as 2 miles but the killing range is around 1.5 miles. If one shoots powerful rifle aimless in place like NYC or LI, the chance if it hitting somebody is high. If somebody comes in my house, I rather use either Handgun or shotgun. Don't want use rifle because I know it will hit my neighbor and I don't want that to happen.

When you have gun, you have to think of its limitation and knowing how to handle it properly. Only idiots will shoot in the air in city or where there is too many people around. That idiot will be 100% responsible for death if the stray bullet hits somebody.

It's not just the increased range and accuracy. A rifle round will transfer much more energy into it's target. Therefore typically much more lethal.

Not very deadly? While I would agree that HP are more lethal I wouldn't say that FMJ are "not very deadly" I don't think HP are some specialty round anymore. Pretty common and popular. As is the 357 magnum that blows the 40 and 9 out of the water.

but criminals don't use .357 magnum.

Rifle is soldier's most favorite weapon. :cool2:

So you expect the energy have no relationship with distance? Your funny! Yes it does make difference with distance.

Would you use it if your girlfriend stand about 5 feet from the target you intended to shoot with 12 gauge?

In this case, I rather handgun over shotgun.

It really depends on scenario and which kind of firearm to use.

I'd take a 12 gauge over a handgun in a fight any day

I shoot sabots in my 12 gauge with a rifled barrel. I suppose muzzle blast might be an issue but I wouldn't have to worry about it because my wife would have already taken care of him

for that? sure!

the sound of me cocking a shotgun and the sight of staring down the barrel of 12 gauge are just more than enough to make him weak in the knees and beg for mercy

The 12 gauge is my hunting gun though. I have a rifle and a pistol for home defense.

Cool, rifle? You got neighbors or live in country? If country, then it is awesome. I wouldn't use high powered rifle. .22 yeah but not enough for the kill.
I know for the fact that shotgun is excellent with killing at shorter range, while assault rifle can kill at much greater distance.

It really boils down to specific situations and personal preference. Where I would be shooting the rifle is to defend the bedroom and is all down hill into the ground. I also have a handgun for if I needed to move within the house. I have plenty of neighbors. It's importand to know where you can shoot and where you can't. Houses are thin and windows are thinner. If you don't hit a stud just about anything can go through chip board and vinyl siding.

I also have enough property that I need something that can reach out and touch something with accuracy.

No, terp do go to court for Deaf criminals, don't forget it. Plus even better for Reba, she can terp for Deaf criminals and remain out of loop. LOL

So make sure you don't commit crime, otherwise you may meet her in court.

If you are criminal - see me at court.
