I know that if you post in California or New YOrk, you have to pay to post. Here in Chicago area, it's still free to post. Now, my question is how many post is too much postings? If I wanted to make 10 different posts in one category in one day, that will be a lot!! If I wanted to post maybe 2 or 3 times per days in each categories, I think that would be ok. In Chicago, your post stays up for 7 days unless you delete it or is flagged.

Yeah, I know that we are free. My concern is taking up wasted bandwith space. I just don't want to abuse the priviledge.

Other concern is that if someone saw something that I have up for sale and person is interested. Then person sees that I post 2 more later in the day and 3 more the next day in the same category, the person may decide they're not interested any more. Do you worry about such thing?

Oh no! When did they change that? I've never had to pay!!

I wonder if they are doing this to stop the spamming of the site. I know there's this guy that always has posts of bikes up for sale. So many that some people were thinking these were stolen. He would put up about 20 bikes per day. But then again this was a while ago.

I have no idea. I never posted in NY or CA. I thought you actually had to pay to post in NY or CA craigslist. Maybe I am wrong.

I just tried to post an ad for SF Bay Area and almost got all the way through. I backed out because I don't have anything to sell. There was no charge as of to the point where I was, to verify the posting.

What made you think that they charge you to post in California?
