He got badly injured and he is going to be okay. I never met him, however, some of my friends know him well.

I hope he will be OK.

With spring break happening, there will probably be more such attacks of college students vacationing in Mexico.

Wow, he's lucky to be alive. I agree with his father that it was an attempted murder. Hope the criminal(s) will be caught.

I refuse to visit Mexico since I heard many bad things about it. I was told not to drive to Mexico, otherwise my car will be gone within an hour if parked in unsecured areas. My friend's van was stolen on the first day of the visit.
