Extra Taxes After A Car Crash?... up to $2.000? WTF

At a gas station, I once TALKED with a guy using a flashlight as his headlights. He taped them on there. I know unsafe but it was hilarious. You just had to be there.

This belong on Jay Leno 'White Crash fixit list' Do you think we're talking about the same person?? LOL!

Hum, no, most of the accidents I noticed is much pretty newer cars rather than older cars. So don't assume that old cars are the one that causes accidents. It is not true. It is either one or two drivers that is idiot or bad designed road where there provides blind spots.

Even with school buses, I have heard few already in the past year that have been gone into accidents ANYWAY with all safety blah blah blah still accident anyway. So, nothing to do with age of cars or condition of cars, it is either drivers or road design.
accidents? I'm not talking about accidents. I'm talking about traffic jams. most of traffic jams I noticed in here are caused by old cars breaking down.

and beside.... you don't live in here so what you notice is not the same as what I notice in here. I live in a major metropolitan area. a traffic jam is a serious hazard as it frequently leads to accidents and road rage.

and you completely misunderstood my post. I'm not talking about old cars either. I'm talking about irresponsible drivers. they're very irresponsible for driving a car in a questionable condition on highway. if their car is prone to engine failure or if their tires are in bad condition, then they should not be driving on highway. plain and simple. drive on local road, not highway.

I understand that they just can't afford to replace or fix it properly and that's fine with me but what's not fine with me is that they're driving shitty cars on highway. it's extraordinary dangerous and incredibly stupid.

Fortunately, you are not a lawmaker so STFU.

D'oh.

I'd rather them stay on the freeway where they're moving. Not caressing around my neighborhood where my kid plays. Let alone the nearby intersections where we shop.

I'd rather them NOT to drive at all but that would be un-American, isn't it?

there are kids in cars too on freeways.

That would be a better response and one I can rally behind in theory. It really bothered me that you wanted them off the freeways only.

:cool2:

highway = high-speed zone. a much higher chance of mechanical failure and a much higher chance of multiple fatalities/accidents. all these.... it's costly for taxpayers.

again.... this "proposal" is not for your area or anywhere else except here.

you don't have to worry about it. this "traffic tax" only should apply to this major metropolitan area.

driving a shoddy car on highway is a grave irresponsibility. too many people here are too irresponsible and stupid to not drive it on busy high-speed highways and we get accidents every single day. they should stick with local roads rather than highways.

traffic jam causes accident. plain and simple. and it's costly for taxpayers too. this "tax" is not chipping away your freedom. it's in response to a problematic situation and this tax can be eliminated at any time if a problem goes away.

Wow! I thought all states had car inspections . I don't think I would want to live in a state that has no car inspections.

I would love to live in a state with no car inspection law.

Didn't you know there are slower and faster lanes on the freeways (faster lanes on the left side and slower lanes on the right side)? If you drive a shitty car, you drive on the slowest lane.

Actually... in many places... the fast lane is for passing only. You must drive in the right lane unless you are passing someone. That's the law here in Texas at least.
