Telling stories at retirement home??

I know that my Grandma has drove some cool cars such as a 1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 4 door, 1979 CHerokee 4 door, and 2 different Grand Wagoneers. SHe may have drove Grandpa's mid 1970s Dodge Ram CHarger. I don't know if she ever drove a 1966-1977 Bronco or if it was my Grandpa only.

Point is that I would think it would be cool if a group of people at retirement home where my Grandma live got together and sat in circle. Take turns....

Ok, you go first. Let me tell you a story of when I took a road trip in a 1966-1977 Ford Bronco. Then on to the next person, tell story of your road trips in your International Travelall. So on to next person.

I think it would be fun. Not sure how to do it as no one there really knows ASL. A few knows some signing, but not much.

I would love to introduce that idea to a retirement home. Maybe a deaf senior living place....
 
That sounds so wonderful who knows maybe you will add a little time to their life.. even a memory or two... We dont remember days ,we only remember one moment at a time.
 
Dunno Derek....feel the ladies would not give much input...only the old men when it comes to cars and turbo engines....

Ever do wonder what retirees do talk about in retirement homes?....
 
I think young poeple, including myself, should visit the residents and get stories told to us. Better to learn history from people who actually were there, in my opinion.

when they wake up there say ,Oh shoot I'm still here..
 
Those places take a little getting used to
