Running over the Fiscal Cliff

Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill says that a provision to kill the congressional pay raise is in the bill they are voting for.

I think that little gambit was to embarrass the Senate to vote for something - just anything - so that they wouldn't get that little $900 for doing zilch. They had to at least have one vote not to take it.

We will see what the House does . . . Republican leadership aide there says he wouldn't be surprised if half of those on that side of the aisle vote against the bill. Of course, if half the R's vote for it and half the D's vote for it, + 1, the House will pass it.

The congressional pay raise is most least of my concern, so it doesn't change my vote strategy.

Also, in past, I didn't like my president - GWB, of course and I don't like my house of representative in our district.

..DID YOU VOTED FOR THEM?... AND WHY you dont really mind them having pay rise when everyone else faces more tax??
are you weak-willed for wrong votes?

My first vote isn't started until 2006 when I hit 18 years old.

Most of times, I voted for democrats and in rare case, I voted republicans that have moderate views. I voted Obama and he won the presidency, however the candidates that I support didn't win at state level because I live in most conservative area, that's heavily favored republicans since 90's when southern democrats (Dixiecrat) disappeared.

The deal about tax increases already agreed between the president and the senates, so only to left is the house. The congressional pay raises aren't my concern, even is taxes, long as they are progressive. There are many reasons that why I usually side with moderates or liberals.

Australia's minimum wage for full-time employees is TWICE as high as the United States. Part-time workers make $21.25 an hour.

SHARE if you think American workers deserve a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work!

Fair Work, Fair Pay: Lessons From Australia

WTF?

Also more importantly,

To begin with, rich Americans make far more money than rich Australians. Doctors and lawyers and bankers and, of course, CEOs make much more in the US than in Australia. Then, rich Americans pay far less in taxes than rich Australians. The top tax rates in the United States are 35 percent on earned income and 15 percent on unearned income. The equivalent rates in Australia are 45 percent on earned income and 22.5 percent on unearned income.

The real difference between the two countries, though, appears in company profits. American companies make far more in profits than Australian companies. Over the past ten years, the profits of corporations and proprietors have amounted to an average of 20.4 percent of America's national income. The equivalent figure in Australia is 12.7 percent. It's hard to make super-sized profits when you have to pay a living wage.

WTF?

Also more importantly,

more importantly? how much you earn is not an issue. it's the cost of living and quality of life that are more important.

No, I was just trying to point out that rich Americans are so filthy rich. I think we should know about that as well as company profits. I guess that's how Australian employees get higher pay.

Also big-proft companies such as Walmart and McDonald in America pay fucking low wages. That's why alot of people have two low-pay jobs to meet their needs.

But it's easy for Australians now. They are lucky to have a good government, don't you think?

*shrug* good for them, I guess?

must be nice letting us do all the work for them.... like you know - McDonald... the American company... and bunch of stuff made and provided by American companies such as facebook, microsoft, amazon, etc. :)

I'm happy for that McDonald boy being able to afford a car and home.

Then what's your purpose of posting it in the first place?

thats is exactly what they want you to believe, its is a BIG FUCKING LIE,

there is NO oppurtunity,
why dont you leave mommy's home, live in the real world for a change? see for yourself how far you would survive, I'd beat your fucking ass you wouldnt even move

ive moved 5 times to different places, I survived. and in the real world its unlikely you'd get hired...THEn reality will slam you in the face with 'aww shit' i didnt know it's THAT competitive, talk about hard?? you havent got a clue

dont ever say theres plenty of oppurtunites, just how come people can't sell houses, to get means for the ends to move abroad, there's also policys which makes it especially unwelcome for newly arrived...if you really fucking look hard, theres plenty of stories reflecting this right here in Alldeaf..
foreclosures isnt just 'on the news' in papers of newspapers as comical entertainment boy, it is REAL, it IS a nightmare, a nightmare that $$ is controlling people, it tells you where , for how long you can stay, $$ doesnt give you warnings that you overstayed your residence, it doesnt warn you off up coming policy changes that will affect your rights to move, and find oppurtunies. you still need a lot of $$ for new skills, new location, new jobs, new liftstyle, DONT kid me about this.

oh. speaking of politics, it DOES to a small degree, btu really small, like to allow your say about when to impose or delay policy changes have very little affect, because the problem is you dont really know what or when politicians process these changes. They will never tell you straight whats the real story...only annoucements, at at that point its tooo late!, they are clever to get 'consesus' from the voting of gulliable masses and before you know it, you're fucked...

oppurtunites are fading away, must quicker than you'd like to believe, and it is the politican's job to keep that rosey picture alive in your mind, never mind where the 50 billions went, which was supposed to re-open 20 schools somewhere, and adding 200 teachers...no, its gone to iraq...blah blah but you'd never hear it, only in 'documentaries' but then people are too lazy to watch it to get a clue..and or, its too fucking dangerous to get the right information, ever watched "Bananas?"

what do you think how AD got here this far? plenty of opportunities for anybody to create a successful, long-lasting forum like AD but most failed. Alex succeeded... thru hard work and persistence. and all of you are benefiting from it.

AD... made in America... for you... at no cost.

do you know why there is a lot of foreclosures? because a bunch of people have made a bad decision. they're the one who signed the paper to buy a house.

it's a very simple rule - if you think it's too good to be true... it's fishy. too bad they didn't listen to their gut.

never heard of Bananas. never seen Bananas.

I guess I've been busy out there, working hard in real world rather than watching some tv. I take it that you've had one too many drinks tonight, eh?

Happy New Year, Grummer!
