What if a deaf/Deaf person wanted to sign up their deaf/Deaf dog or cat for training sessions? How do you do it? Do you get 2 ASL interpreters? 1 for yourself. 1 for the cat/dog. Do you think the deaf cat or dog would be left out if you got interpreter for yourself, but no interpreter for the cat or dog?

If you were not deaf, do you think deaf cat or dog would want to have ASL interpreter for their benefit?

If you were deaf and had hearing cat/dog, do you get interpreter for yourself? Do you think hearing cat/dog would tell you that they can get it themselves and lead you so that interpreter won't be needed?

I don't know how that would work since it's you that's supposed to be giving the orders. If you had the interpreter giving the voice orders, then the dogs would probably get used to the interpreter and not you?

Maybe ask the dog if they prefer their own doggie interpreter and go from there.
