Anyone of you who are not wearing HA or CI for a permanent silent mode?
Can medicare cover for your HA?
Frisky....believe that KristinaB and I both have no ear drums and due to a blotched surgery, my nerves are dead....A HA would not help 1 iota...even on the bone....and the latest specialist says I'm a good candidate for the CI (left ear only, which he says is the "good ear"), and I've just went thru a 3rd surgery for chronic infections and Cholesteatoma (disease of the ear).on the left ear....and a 4th surgery to the right ear is forth-coming...so, NO, not opting for a CI either....
So, gotta be wary of specialists who want to implant a CI on someone who had had so many multiple surgeries....seems I could actually see $$$ signs in that doctor's eyes.
ah, i see what you are saying.. hey what about the "vibrating" hearing. I dont know what is it called. I remember when i was a kid. There is a kid who have the vibrating hearing aid (no sounds but vibrating) on his head. I wonder if we still have it to the day??
btw welcome back.
You mean BAHA? They still have those.
I have no idea what did BAHA does. I google it about baha. does it make vibration? If so then its a BAHA.
It is . It is a bone conduction hearing aid. So I think yes it vibrates through the bone.
