What did you learn today? Part II

The deaf/blind lady from my Deaf church who had the stroke a few weeks ago has recovered well enough to travel. She still has some weakness on her right side, but is able to sign a little tom get her point across. We are having a going away party tonight for her and then Friday she will be transported to Ohio. Seems her family has now all gone to Ohio from Alabama and there is a therapy place for her there who is ready for her. They have sent someone to fly with her up there.
 
I learned that I better pay attention to what train that I'm boarding when I'm using the Metro in DC. :P I ended up in Beltway. :P

Seems, this dog who is all of 1 year old, dug her way under the fence and proceeded to maul and kill another neighbor's dog. if that dog had already attacked one, it's an automatic euthanasia.

In NYC, one has to REALLY pay attention to the subway trains before boarding. One time, my friend and I got on the wrong subway and ended up on the other side of the city and we had to find another subway station for the train that would take us back. At least with DC, you can stay at the same station to go back.

I am glad you are ok. That's all that matters.

I'm dreading navitagitng NYC subway system for this very reason lol but at least i'm safe. :)

I learned that the Town Hall wants to have a meeting with MIL, hubby and myself regarding our building permit. No word yet on the approval or not. Not sure if contractor needs to be there or not.

They did say it was not bad news, they just wanted some clarification. Seems one of the little sticky points for the application is that you have to have a different application for each of the different things in the house. We know about: Building, A/C, Electrical, Plumbing, but they also have: Insulation, Windows, Flooring, and I'm not sure what else. We may have to fill out multiple applications and if so, I want contractor there as well.

My gf had to do something similar when she had renovations done on her place. I should have make it clear that I was really saying that in a joking way. :) It sounds more scary than it really is. You just got my first gut reaction! LOL!
 
I heard it SMF is very lousy is weak on crap lol I votes won another hosting :lol: another complaint another not my problems!

I knew you were kidding.

Contractor kind of expected this. He just called, he will come to meeting and bring his brother who is also a general contractor on the job.

Don't think it will alter the time frame at all. And these cats of mine are used to a dog. Not sure if they can still deal with them, but hey, they need to live a little.
