Occupy Boston is being evicted!!!!

Shouldn't bother you if they are breaking laws by being in areas they have been asked to evacuate, either.

Of course it should. It should bother everyone when laws are broken.

That is what they're intending to use the money for, to help support attorney generals keep fighting against the banks who want to settle, and to fight against the government who wants the attorney generals to settle.

I'm not making accusations so much as stating an opinion. And, I don't claim that I know what they are doing with the money, I only claim that nobody knows what they are doing with it.

I will await the first court action and/or signature ballot question they initiate. Until that time, I'll cast a skeptical eye on it. If the movement remains a factor through next year's 2012 election, I'd welcome it.

An opinion formed based on what evidence?

Dang it you corrected already....I was going to have you do something about Steve Bartman

I like it. However, that seems like a lenghthy process. Hmmmm, maybe we could coerce the ACLU to file suit? After all, our liberties are affected.
You have good ideas, dude. :)

Unfortunately, because the rules are being created by the people who are screwing everything up, the ACLU will only bring case if they do something against the laws they create(other than the constitution).

However, a group of powerful lobbyist could change an legislative opinion before the laws even get made as Wall Street is already doing.

Because the laws they have broken have a negative effect on you how? And in contrast to the laws broken by the Fat Cats that affect you in a very real way.

I guess we all need to worry about whether you are speeding at any point in time, too.

I am against laws broken by both/all. It doesn't have to have a negative effect on me to be illegal. :wave

I don't know whether to laugh or cry that a foreigner is more knowledgable and interested in this than the American public.

She's no ordinary foreigner and I'd expect nothing less... :cool2:

As in the time of Ceasar, everything America does affects everyone else.

The fact that nothing's been accomplished in three months... You get a movement that suddenly becomes international, over night and you don't think people are going to try and capitalize on it?

The ACLU will bring action when civil liberties are being violated.

You keep saying nothing has been accomplished, but the very fact that you are even discussing this means that something has been accomplished.

So, you are basing your accusations on the fact that they have managed to gain international support in a short 3 months?

Yeah, but they render nothing unto Caesar, just for themselves. :cool2:

It's a figure of speech, but it's true that what happens here affects the world economy, rightly or wrongly.

I've just been studying up on Rome and got a little carried away, it happens.

Nawww, the Chinese yen will be a worldwide force soon. Look a little further than your computer.

So, you think that OWS donations are going to affect global economy?

To be clear, nothing's been accomplished politically or legislatively. And, I do give the group credit for the internationalization, but you can't honestly believe that this was not on the tip of everyone's tongue since 2008?

That's like taking credit for making money during the biggest boom of the economy in economic history. The real challenge would have been to make no money.

The time is ripe for what they are doing, they just need to do something with it.
