Oops! Mythbusters did something wrong!

Looks like we have a mythbusters party going on here!

Not until the bikini babe makes an appearance and we get to blow shit up. :thumb:

Love the show, especially when they deal with explosion. That kind of stuff gets me laughing. At any rate, it's the whole confirmation process they go through to determine the answer they are seeking is either busted, plausible or confirmed. They certainly try and do it from a scientific approach. They certainly do make science fun.

You must have jumped in the air while doing that.

That's right! He obviously is not a well grounded individual! :giggle:

Hah. I went to this farm with a couple friends one cold day to get the farmer's tractor started. There was a single wire surrounding an area, and it was electrified. One accidentally touched it and yelled, then I touched it quickly to determine the voltage, you know? I felt nothing. The other guy touched it and yelled that it shocked the SH*T out of him. I kept feeling the wire, still nothing, and finally put my tongue on it to prove my point.
Yeah, I am weird. :P

Im very sorry, really sorry that I couldn't stop laughing :giggle:

Check out what shoes you were wearing... you may not have been grounded. If the electricity doesn't have a place to go, it will not shock you.

Ouch haha.

No, the opposite is true. Anytime when electricity finds a path to ground, you get jolt. Simple as is. If you do not touch any grounded properties, you won't get shock by touching live wire.

I know it because, first of all, I am certified Electrician, second I actually touch live wire and didn't feel anything. That is because I was on fiberglas ladder and it don't conduct electricity. I wouldn't suggest anyone doing this unless they know what they are doing. If you gone ahead, Im ok but word of warning.... do not touch two or more wires at same time.... else bye!

Here is another story, I was out camping with my friends. We got power inverter from our trucks. Our trucks has so much power to supply whatever we needed. We had no problem, except one guy that was complaining of shock from touching our truck. We couldn't figure out for a while then we looked at his shoe... barefoot! No wonder! We have rubber sneakers on that is why we didn't feel a thing.

Guess there is more of a chance of a suburb being cannonballed than me getting struck by lightning. :giggle:
