I went shopping for a few shirts recently in a Mom and Pop store and couldn't find a single shirt made in the USA. This bothers me.

What else was sold in this store?

Along with clothing, they sell household appliances and furniture. I found only one lamp made in the USA, and a couple sofas. I didn't look any further and left disheartened.
I understand that if you buy an American-made product, it creates jobs. I just wish more people would do that.

We would need to rebuild our manufacturing base in order to buy American again.

If they were richer, they would. Goods manufactured in developing countries sell much cheaper.

Will the yarn be made in the USA?
Depends on where you buy it. Some is and some isn't.

The wife of one of my second cousins in CT raises her own sheep, shears them, spins the wool, and makes and dyes her own yarn. She has only a few sheep at a time but they're enough for her needs.

She grew up on a ranch in Montana where her family raised large herds of sheep.

And they're made with cheaper material. The stuff is stores today are junk! I wanted to buy my granddaughter a dress and when a mall and not one store had a dress made in USA!! My sister made her one instead. I would love to buy USA products only if I could find them in a store!

that is part of my grassroot project. I hope to bring it to fruition by next year in spring.

Yea, I was just glancing at the labels of some items I have..."Made in China"...really wish they said "Made in U.S.A"

I was thinking something along the line of an industry but yes that'll work too. :)
