At current I am totally flooded in on three sides of me and our property backs right up to a mountain with no roads.

As for the city, there is reports of major flooding and business and offices are getting flooded as well as homes.

I'm hoping we don't wake up in the morning to find people stranded on roof tops.

So if I sign off for a few days at least you'll know why if my internet is disrupted. (I still have 3G)

This rain is to continue into the night, tomorrow and tomorrow evening with no let up in sight.

:ugh:

Just got word from a friend that her apartment complex is flooding. Oh boy......

Uh oh...sounds like what we went through with two back to back hurricanes (Irene and Lee). This system is supposed to hit us on Wednesday.

Stay safe, Dixie!

Just got word that one of our neighbors is flooded out. Now I'm getting a bit worried even though we are one a side of a mountain.

Pack your electronics in double baggies!

Well, the rain has picked back up and we have hail. The Weather report also called for high winds. Greaaat. My truck is parked outside, in a hail storm, under a huge tree the same size that Reba had cut down. Also, people are saying the river is likely to breach it's banks and flood the nearby neighborhoods, there is already people telling me the main street in that part of town is like a river.

This is not good for our little town. I'm also hoping the farm I work on doesn't get flooded out either. The houses on the hill I'm not worried about, it's the two houses in the low pasture I'm worried about. There is a creek that runs past them. We just got chickens in those houses last month. If it's worse case scenario, my job is gone.

But on the bright side, you have days to look for another job if you have no job.

True, that would be the silver lining, but unfortunately at the expense of my aunt and uncle. :(

Oh BTW we are under tornado warning. I'm headed downstairs.

Yeah, and it's only Monday.
And importance papers , like medical records , deed to house etc. And be safe!!
I have all of that in my safe which is fire/water proof.
Dixie!
Take care!
let us know you ok when you can-

Thanks everyone! It seems we are in the clear for now. The warning expired about 15 minutes ago.

I think we are about to see all four seasons of Arkansas weather within a 24 hour period. :dizzy:

Well, we are still under a flooding risk and tomorrow I'll be the first one out to see the mess on the way to work - that is if I am able to get to work. My brother said he saw an Entergy truck floating near the creek by his house.
