The bottom brackets pay almost 0 income tax.
One benefit of unemployment.

I want it done with less federal spending. Individuals can't unspend the government's money. And again, how would their "donating" their money to our IRS solve the problem of inequity in the tax structures?
You think they are just trying to get rid of a few bucks? Surely you understand they message they are communicating by their demonstration.
But if you want to use that line of reasoning...I see plenty of conservatives around here moaning and whining about the national debt every chance they get. How many of you guys are making contributions to bring it down? Walk the walk, guys, walk the walk.

And you may be right. We can differ on the details, but just about any system is better than the convoluted mess we have right now that just begs for crony capitalism.i agree except for the bold.....we don't even need that IMO. Oh, and a flat tax with a $25,000 exemption would create a mildly progressive tax without creating brackets.

Fair Tax.
I'm certain they already make charitable contributions. But how is that going to create change in our tax structure?
I know it not going to made a change in our tax structure! But while they're waiting for a change in our tax structure some money could be given to food pantries, they're running out of food in my state.

Yep these 2 dozen fellas could have donated the money they paid in travel expenses to food pantries....but they didn't.

donation and tax are not the same thing.
True. One is voluntary and the other is not.donation and tax are not the same thing.
Why is it when others post an affirmation of someone's post you make such a snide remark? How is agreeing with someone's post any different than clicking the "like" button? (Other than it takes a little more effort to make a post than to click a button.)Here's your tissue. Brown spot again.
