A lot of people? One guy with a typewriter looking for his 15 minutes of fame?![]()
Meh, from SSA Clint Hill's statement on Nov 30..
I jumped onto the left rear step of the Presidential automobile. Mrs. Kennedy shouted, "They've shot his head off," then turned and raised out of her seat as if she were reaching to her right rear toward the back of the car for something that had blown out. I forced her back into her seat and placed my body above President and Mrs. Kennedy. SA Greer had, as I jumped onto the Presidential automobile, accelerated the Presidential automobile forward. I heard ASAIC Kellerman call SA Lawson on the two-way radio and say, "To the nearest hospital, quick." I shouted as loud as I could at the Lead car, "To the hospital, to the hospital."
and his testimony
Mr. SPECTER. You say that it appeared that she was reaching as if something was coming over to the rear portion of the car, back in the area where you were coming to?
Mr. HILL. Yes, sir.
Mr. SPECTER. Was there anything back there that you observed, that she might have been reaching for?
Mr. HILL. I thought I saw something come off the back, too, but I cannot say that there was. I do know that the next day we found the portion of the President's head.
Parkland hospital doctor, Marion Jenkins
I noticed that her hands were cupped in front of her, as if she were cradling something. As she passed by, she nudged me with an elbow and handed me what she had been nursing in her hands - a large chunk of her husband's brain tissues.
If she were climbing out, extending her arms beyond her upper body before moving either of her knees up to the top of the vehicle would be a strange way to do it IMO. To me it looks like she is using her knees to brace herself from going out the back of the car, almost like someone would when reaching over a ledge
Many at the time claimed Jackie was trying to help the SSA into the car....But Hill's testimony makes that doubtful.
Jackie told the Warren Commission she had no recollection of being in the truck.
