"If combat means living in a ditch, females have biological problems staying in a ditch for thirty days because they get infections and they don't have upper body strength. I mean, some do, but they're relatively rare. On the other hand, men are basically little piglets, you drop them in the ditch, they roll around in it, doesn't matter, you know. These things are very real. On the other hand, if combat means being on an Aegis-class cruiser managing the computer controls for twelve ships and their rockets, a female may be again dramatically better than a male who gets very, very frustrated sitting in a chair all the time because males are biologically driven to go out and hunt giraffes."

-- Adjunct Professor Newt Gingrich, Reinhardt College, January 7, 1995, "Renewing American Civilization."

Spring Semester 1995 :dunno:

Two years later I transferred to Gallaudet. (I actually have school records proving this - btw, you have school records too).

Are you trying to deflect from the fact that you were NO WHERE NEAR KENT STATE on a school day in 1970?

And that you even stated these innocent people who were killed were YOUR CLASSMATES?

Hmmm....seems Newt left Kennesaw State in 1993. That was the class that led to ethics charges against him.

I was on the campus of Kent State during the protests and the massacres. Like I said, you need to check your math and your assumptions. No where did I state that the students killed were my classmates. Either you are unable to read with comprehension or you are fond of telling blatant lies. Perhaps a combination of the two.

Love the sexist quote you posted from Newt. Lovely illustration.

perhaps you have faulty memory as usual?

You took a quote out of context.

I was there, Steinhauer. I know exactly what happened.:cool2:

Last I checked, you were not a sociologist, nor were you there. You have no business making disrespectful remarks regarding the students that were killed without justification.

I am sure you could ask him and he would just tell you. :giggle:

So would Ahnuld.

Clinton and Hart and Edwards on the other hand .....

I'm sorry but I believe you most likely do not understand whatever Newt was teaching. I doubt Newt would agree with most of your interpretation or belief of anything if you had a coffee date with him. He is much more likely to be in agreement with my view than yours.

Given the fact that he was engaged in an extramarital affair while leading the mob against Clinton, I wouldn't trust him to do anything but what he thought was going to benefit old Newt.:giggle:

Your first person account and perspective would be very interesting. That would add a lot to the standard official sources that most of us have read.

Was it frightening to you? Were you indoors, or outdoors? How close were you to the action? Did you see anyone get hit by the bullets? Did you hear the shots?

That must have been an indelible moment, like the assassination of JFK, and 9/11.

*off topic* My dad witnessed JFK.

Yes, it was an indelible moment. I was close hear the shots and get pulled to the ground by someone standing beside me. No, I did not see anyone shot. The reports filtered through the crowd very quickly however. Everyone was in the process of moving back to avoid being tear gassed when the shots were fired. I was outdoors, on the hill.

I have very distinctive memories of the announcement of JFK's assassination, as well. And of 9/11. I was not present at either of those tragedies, however, so while the memories are distinct, they are not as emotional as the one of Kent State.

I have discussed the experience in detail with several Aders who actually expressed interest.
Were you a protester, a bystander, or a passerby?

What did he tell you about it? How old were you?

I wasn't born. He was 19 I think. He was making a delivery (or a pick up) in the area. He decided to watch the parade. He really only said 3 things That the motorcade sped away far faster than it looks on film, That Jackie was trying to get out of the car, not retrieve the brain and that at least one shot without a doubt came from the knoll. He says he saw post shot smoke. :dunno: He was on the north curb so the shots would have been coming from his left or from behind depending on which version you believe

Interesting history.

oh? I don't think anybody thought Jackie was trying to retrieve a piece of his brain. I knew she was trying to get out because of terrifying sight of half of JFK's head blown off.

and the reason why it looked slower in film was because of technological limitation at that time. its camera could not record at faster rate (FPS). That's why you see lot of vietnamese war films with helicopter blades looking like it's spinning slow.

Yeah alot of people claimed she was in shock and trying to retrieve a piece of brain/skull.

Jackie on the trunk

Of course some people claim that Jackie actually shot him too. BTW I tend to believe she was going after the brain. :dunno:

I never paid attention to this, but :wtf:?

So the going theory is that Jackie may have been in with this assassination?
