It points out the errors made in interpretation. Several different faiths weigh in on the topic, as well as families with homosexual members.
 
Can you imagine this:

Jesus: (Aramaic) "Ok, this isn't going to make any sense to you but take this down phonetically, (english) O-ur fa-ther wh-o a-re in hea-van..."
 
Not just linguistic differences, but contextual and historical differences.
 
yeah. The KJV is popular but it's full of inaccuracies, mistranslations etc.. It was very good for it's time though.

No. It has been for some time the ways in which PEOPLE distort the Bible to support oppression discrimination, and hatred.

... I really should quote about the devil being able to quote scripture for his own purposes- but will refrain.

I was pointing out that to me it is funny that -we- quote a prayer that was given as an example... and not in the original language it was given in.

BTW- have you ever read some of the puns and word-plays in the bible- its pretty and also funny when it's not two-three languages removed from the oral tradition.

It's too bad we can't debate about the Bible.
 
But we are allow to debate politic..........and look how hateful and heated it had gotten.IMO

No distortion at all. PEOPLE use the Bible to oppress, exclude, judge, and pormote hatred of differences. It has happened throughout history and continues to happen today. Can't be denied.
