I still remember watching B&W shows.

In the pre-remote and pre-cable days, the kids of the family were the channel changers, antenna tuners, and volume controls.![]()
I still remember feeling the void when Walter Cronkite stopped broadcasting news.
I remember Casey Jones, if it's the same one.
Not likely. Mine was a regional show.
Casey & Roundhouse
I didn't like wrestling but I like Destruction Derby and Roller Derby.
I do recall Roller Derby also. The Bay Area Bombers and Midwest Pioneers, among other teams. Joan Weston.
lol! I can never forget shows being 30 minutes long. I usually watch tv after school to wind down before going out to play or Kumon![]()
Family Matter. Saved By The Bell. Who can ever forget that Mr. Belding's awkward laugh?![]()

Every Saturday morning!![]()

Oh, that reminds me. We had to constantly adjust the vertical and horizontal. The screen would flip, flip, flip . . . Grrrr! My family, too. I did my share of channel changing, and "move it up, no, move it down" duty!![]()
That's OK; we all needed a break....Wow, did we ever derail this thread!![]()

The rolling picture! I forgot about that. Or when a plane would fly over the house, the picture would flicker and get fuzzy for a minute. Sometimes, those planes came at the worst times...Oh, that reminds me. We had to constantly adjust the vertical and horizontal. The screen would flip, flip, flip . . . Grrrr!

lol I used to be instructor for kumon. Almost 4 years. Wonder if you were under me?
Reason our generation of shows sucked was because there was nothing to watch as kid. I'm not sure east coast but for west, if you watched tv between 23:00 to 14:00 (11pm to 2pm) or it was just a bunch of drama or infomercial tv stuff like Judge tv or some crap. I remember I came home to watch dennis the menace, cartoons were over in 1-2 hours and then go play until evening and it has the better shows, like combat/ww2 related stuff. That was cooler.

Yep. I enjoyed that program, too, although it didn't inspire me to play "Margie."![]()

Say, does television still do the civil defense warning/alerts?
Oh, that reminds me. We had to constantly adjust the vertical and horizontal. The screen would flip, flip, flip . . . Grrrr!
I think watched it around 11:30 in the morning on Saturday.
