Do you Think a Condo Association has the Rights to Throw Away Clothes Left In Washing

Just be glad you didn't find boxer shorts with a phone number on it.

The washer and dryers do not belong to the condo they belong a company .
I did say I am forget that I am doing washing sometime, I set a timer to remind but this does not always help. I think the condo is going too far! The manger the condo it a real jerk!
NOT YOURS! Stop crying.

I have a car but it is not mine. It belongs to the bank. If you leave your clothes in my car, I will throw it away. Because it is not your car.

Reading your other posts. You're such a cry baby. I've never met anyone that takes more than one day to wash their clothes.

If you leave your clothes there, yes it is. Don't like it? Get your clothes if you want them.

Heh. There are reasons why people had to leave the laundromat or why they were late picking up their loads. To throw away clothes is extreme especially since this washer/dryer belongs to a company that makes a profit from the condo building. Not exactly a good way to get repeat business if you're pissing off the customers.

Who knows Google...maybe one day you will find yourself in the same situation wherein you couldn't be there just when the cycle ends and learned someone threw your clothes in the trash. I have a feeling you're not going to just shrug and say oh well, that's my fault. I'll just go out and spend way more money buying new clothes. In fact, I know you'll be mad.

Are you young by any chance?

I remember someone left Celebrity Sleuth magazine in the laundry room and out of curiosity, I skimmed it seven or eight years ago.

Sorry for tracking off from this thread. :)

Whatdidyousay, you gotta suck it up and follow their policy. :hmm:

I will never find myself in a situation where my clothes will be discarded in any manner. I'm a responsible adult who has courtesy and care for others.

In fact, when I was 18, I did not have laundry appliances and attended laundromats for 8 months straight. Never have I been more than 5 minutes late to get my clothes. On many, multiple occasions, the laundromat was full and there's group of people waiting for a washer to free up. I often check washers if they are full and empty it out onto the floor. Owners of the clothes would never come back while I wait.

Other day when I was riding my bike, I saw a shirt on side of the road. Someone left it there. I'd throw it away. I'm sure the owner wouldn't care very much. Same logic applies to laundromats. If you want to keep your clothes, go get them.

I'm 40. I asked if you were young because you sound like a young adult who has the answers to everything and very judgemental as young adults tend to be. Dumping clothes on floors, that's nice.

Neither would you, if they were my clothes.

Hey, better than garbage can. I do have answers for almost everything.

I had great parents who taught me great values and a great brain I put to use every day.:giggle:

Yeah, I wouldn't come back for your clothes.

Yeah, throwing other people's things on the floor is a GREAT value. Noticed you didn't answer my question about your age. Interesting.

Yeah, where am I supposed to put them? Garbage can? No, don't say top of washers or dryers because they were all top loading.

You didn't ask for my age. You asked if I was young. I answered, not bluntly but hind sight is 20/20.

Darn right you won't. :giggle:

ok, so you're young then. It's obvious.

All I will say is common courtesy goes a long way and karma is a bitch.

Sure, I'm a young 36 year old.

All I will say is, courtesy wasn't there when they left their clothes in the washer for hours to end. I had the courtesy to not discard the said clothes into the trash can or take them for a yard sale.

You haven't answered my question.

tables? laundry baskets? if circumstances stopped me from returning on time to get my clothes out of the laundry when cycles ended and I learned you threw my clothes in the trash or sold them off, believe me, you would have wished you didn't. That would be a bonafide asshole thing to do. That's not your place to do if you are not the owner of the laundromat.

So you won't dump them onto the floor? Smart lad.
You're weird.:hmm: I do not care about your clothes because they aren't mine. Hopefully you can read. If your clothes happens to be in my way, I will dump them without any remorse.:hmm:
