Sarah Palin History Lesson on Paul Revere!!

Actually according to Snopes, he meant to say 47 not 57. Apparently he was exhausted. You can see the link to snopes in an earlier post of mine. I've made similar mistakes in another tread. Txgolfer caught my mistake.

Yes.. he said... I've been to fifty... seven. There was a pause as he was trying to subtract states he did not go... he apparently just forgot that he already said fifty.

Oh now they're trying to revise our history? I think that's funny. But seriously, what if conservates (or liberals for that matter) decide to revise history to fit their agendas? Then I would worry.

Baby steps!

Two years?

Personally, I am not impressed with Obama. For some, they will complain about THIS TERM until the undertaker starts to shovel the dirt on top of them.

And really, who cares if she made a stupid error? Same with Obama, who cares that he said 57? These people are generally among the brightest people we have. I doubt any of these politicians has an IQ below 110. They speak all the time, in sometimes difficult situations. When they say something wrong, we make it appear they are somehow stupid. If we base intelligence on minor flubs, I could have a field day around here making fun of all the posts with errors in spelling, syntax, grammar, and the like.

I think we are basing assessments of Palin's on a cummulative set of data.:giggle:

As are the anti-Obama people; storing all these flubs as proof of ineptitude. I think the people with the weak intelligence are the hardcore followers and hardcore haters of both.

that is stranger sound interesting, that is news obama not trust lie or truth!

*scoffs* fat chance. This coming from a lady who didn't even finish her job as governor of Alaska...will never have my vote.

In a 1789 Paul Revere letter maintained by the Massachusetts Historical Society ,in his original language, about the ride and warning to British troops:

I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from,& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.He then orderd them to advance, & to lead me in front. When we got to the Road, they
turned down towards Lexington. When we had got about one Mile, the Major Rode up to the officer that was leading me, & told him to give me to the Sergeant. As soon as he took me, the Major orderd him, if I attempted to run, or any body insulted them, to blow my brains out. We rode till we got near Lexington Meeting-house, when the Militia fired a Voley of Guns, which appeared to alarm them very much.
