Sarah Palin rolls into Washington on a "Harley"

My brother worked for GM for 35 years. Amazing the number of parts that are produced overseas.

Yep. My sister and her husband retired from GM also, so I know the score.

Nope. I'll drive my Daewoo.:cool2:

And whether you realize it or not, the issue on which I signed the petition was regarding collective bargaining rights.

Support Unions! Buy Foreign!

Yup, GM is so incompetent that even using foreign parts their cars rattle after 10,000 miles. If it's not the parts, what could it be.... :hmm:

*GASP* Koko doesn't drive an American truck? TRAITOR!

lol these days - you're not gonna find any "American" vehicle since they're all outsourced/manufactured/assembled all over the countries.

also - about Harley Davidson, sure it's nice and "patriotic" with all these loud rumbling engine and American flags attached to it but practically speaking... HD motorcycles are crap. utter crap. It's overpriced and unreliable. It's notoriously difficult and expensive to maintain.

IBA (Iron Butt Association) is a very hardcore, internationally-recognized organization. Anybody who has completed IBA rally which is hosted every 2 years is a true hardcore rider. IBA rally = 11,000 miles in 11 days. Only few riders out of hundreds have completed it. Since 2001 - only 2 riders have completed it with HD bikes. Rest had either Japanese or BMW.

Whatever happens at IBA actually determines motorcycle companies' fate. After the race, experts and reviewers comment on it. HD did not fare very well. That's why you see so many bikers riding Honda Goldwing instead of Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. The funny thing is that it is quite common for them to rent HD bikes just for "patriotic rally".

It's a shame that HD losts its glory. and it's also a huge shame that HD shut down Buell. shame... shame..... shame....

Ahhh... the age old argument. You must drive one of those Figure On Repairs Daily vehicles. Can't we cease with the ancient jokes now?

One has virtually nothing to do with the other. The vast majority of goods produced in the USA are produced by non-union workers.

I read somewhere that in the 50's, 95% of everything in a home were American-made, most by union shops. Today only 5% of goods in a home is American-made. And they complain about unions?

We blame unions for much of that actually.

Auto workers seem to think it does......They even Collectively Bargained against foreign cars.

Can GM/Union require Government workers w/ foreign cars to park far away or face potential hostility? - Avvo.com

At least people know where Koko and I stand on unions.

Our words match our deeds

Your article has virtually nothing to do with the issue of unions. It is about parking.

Yeah, we know where you stand on a lot of things, despite your trying to convince people otherwise.:D

My words and my actions match up perfectly. Just because I purchased a foreign car from a friend does not mean that I don't also support unions or collective bargaining rights for unionized workers. You got to stop trying to look at issues so superficially. :D

I wasn't being serious. I've driven Japanese cars in the past.
