It seems more like you are trying to devalue Cain's experience as a businessman.

Who cares? I dislike Cain on most of issues and he's too conservative.

Nope. Just saying it isn't sufficient to be a Presidential candidate. My dad was a businessman, too. Owned and ran his own business. He wasn't Presidential material, either.

It would appear that you elevate the skills of owning and running a business into an area far and above that which they belong.:cool2:

Hmm.... I think it takes balls, knowledge and experience.....

Community organizer.... Not so much

When you quote me, give me credit for the wording. First sentence. :cool2:

Secondly, as I stated, you obviously don't have a great deal of knowledge regarding community organization. You are thinking on a very superficial level. We aren't talking fun runs and block parties.:cool2:

The primary difference I can see is with whether the budgeting needs to break even, or if it needs to make a profit. But then, I don't think we want our government trying to make a profit, since it would simply be making a profit off of all of us.

The primary difference I see is risk.

Yeah working with ACORN is real complex.... "sir, you have to press the button when you speak into the bullhorn". Alot of risk involved with that too.

Do you mind actually explaining two things to me?

1) What is it, honestly (not sarcastically) that you think a "community organizer" does? And not someone who volunteers one day a month, but someone who actually works for a non-profit organization dedicated to community development and enrichment, as their full-time job?

2) What sorts of "risk" are you talking about when associated with running a business, and how is that risk mitigated or non-existent for non-profit organizations, besides the difference between needing your budget to break-even, rather than come out ahead with a profit?

Organization, ability to develop contacts, monitoring success rates, advertizing and promotion, needs determination; just to name a few.
Is that what Obama listed on his resume?

Determination is a skill?

Advertising and promotion are transferable presidential skills?

The good stuff must be in the skills that you didn't list.

Hopefully..Brown can get the crime rate down.. Shootings are an everyday thing here in Jax now-a-days. Which is one of the reasons why I am sooooo glad to be moving back to country.

(off topic)...did you notice that most of the words I said "rhymed"?...Even urs..."Hopefully...Brown can get the crime rate....down"....

Anyway..ur right about the shootings...even a guy got angry when he went to an ATM machine, to find his account "empty"...and proceeded to set it afire!...Moving to the country sounds good!...Used to live in Baldwin eons ago...but I'm a city girl at heart.

I don't think many people actually try to itemize their skills on their resumé. :P

Those were more examples of skills used by a CO that are also used in business.

But, if Obama chooses to, he can now put "ability to use skills to lead to death of terrorists. Who killed Osama?" on his resume. Not bad for a former community organizer.

Although prior to being sworn in he never had any executive experience such as a CEO.

Ain't it ironic that the same ones coming out in defense of Cain are the very same ones that spent so much time and effort listing the reasons that Obama was unqualified to be elected President of this great nation? And still they say there is not a partisan bone in their bodies.:laugh2:
