Curious,

For cell phone, to set up an email account. What kind of email server do you prefer, such as

Yahoo, Gmail, etc?

I notice lots of people I know created a new account which is GMAIL. How come they did not pick yahoo for their cell phone?

People still use Yahoo? I thought Microsoft bought them out and is using them then a digital fleshy puppet.

Also, a large majority of phones with email (aka smartphones) are Android-based. Android was entirely made by the Googles, so using Gmail is far more intuitive and easy on it. And at least among people I know, an @gmail.com address looks slightly more professional (especially if you use your actual name) than an @yahoo.com or an @hotmail.com.
 
I've kept my "old" account (att.net...which is now part of Yahoo, I think) and just set it up to access on my phone.
 
Good to know because i have already opened a new account gmail ready for my new cell phone once my sidekick will become a brick. :D

I had to open the new account so i have to get the screenname what i wanted.. someone took it damn. i had to add one letter in it that i did not want to but oh well. lol
 
I have Gmail for my mobile but received few push email messages from Yahoo, Gmail, and Road Runner.
 
I use gmail for my blackberry. :)
 
I have email at google, yahoo and msn, but since I have an old cell phone that doesn't go onto the internet it hardly matters for that. I use the google more often. Yahoo is only for my home school stuff and msn is basically for hubby, but I still have some stuff through there.
