Animal Cruelty Charges Filed in Case of Brutalized New Jersey Pit Bull - FoxNews.com

That bitch got arrested for animal cruelty. Yes, she has FB account. I wrote her a message.

"Hey, I don't understand why you dumped Patrick the pit bull dog. If you could not take care of him, you can contact the animal shelter and they will take care of him and have him adoptable to other people. I can't believe what you did to ...him... it is so unacceptable.

I am happy that Patrick is showing improvement and I still pray for his strength. Well, honey, karma is a bitch and it bites you back.

I wish you good luck with the judge and I hope the judge will give you the harshest punishment. Patrick does not deserve a lousy person like you.

Ciao."

I don't give a damn because Patrick does not deserve it. If you guys can not take of your pets for any good reasons (ex. financial crisis), please contact animal shelter.

Patrick Law is in the process...

Welcome to Patrick's Law

I've been following Patrick's story on Facebook. It is truly amazing that he survived and that he is now improving. The first, skeletal, picture of him looked truly "incompatible with life." I was astounded that a dog in that condition could still be breathing.

Bless his valiant heart; I hope he continues to improve. Dogs' recuperative powers are astonishing, perhaps because they don't fear for themselves, and respond quickly to a loving touch and nourishment.

This makes me really sad. Pitbulls are in a lot of trouble lately, and they are perfectly good dogs.

Very sad!...I'm not a fan of pit bulls...but regardless, no dog should be abused.

Back when they were usually known as American Staffordshire Terriers, they were considered the ideal family dog. The dog in the "Spanky and the Gang" movies was a pit bull.

Pet Pitbull

It's a pity that too many knuckleheads have trained too many pit bulls to be fighting dogs. They can be perfectly loving pets with the right owner, with the right training.

I have a pug/bull terrier mix. She's a great dog and a favorite with the kids. :D

I can't understand why anyone would starve an animal like this.

When I got my hearing dog Finlay I was told to only leave his food on the floor for 15 minutes and if he did not eat it I should remove my dog bowl!
I did not do that! I left Finlay's food on the floor so he could when he was hungry, I did not think it was right to made Finlay wait until supper time to be fed again! And Finlay weight was perfect, he knew his food was always there when he wanted it. I would love to starve the person that did that to the dog and see how they like! SOB!

I have a dog living with me. I always fill the water and food for him. If he does not feel like eating the food, that's fine with me as long as he plans to eat later on. His weight is very good and normal so far. :D

For that bitch, she will go to the jail for 18 months and get fined more than $3K.

My vet was very pleased with Finlay weight, the vet told me he wanted to take picture of Finlay and show it to other dog owners so they could see what a perfect weighting dog look like!
The person should be fed dog food while in jail!

That's a nice compliment!

One of my dogs (Casey) is a perfect weight; the other one (Pippin) is a little chunky. When we got him from the rescue, he had been neglected and maybe abused, and his weight was down to 8 lbs. (Should be around 12, so he was only 2/3rd of the weight he should have been.) He has made up for lost time now and is about 2 - 3 lbs. overweight, which for a small dog is a lot. We're walking him more now that the weather is nicer and making him run a bit, too. Otherwise he tends to be a bit lazy.

It's a good idea when you're training a puppy to pick up the food if he hasn't eaten it after 15 to 20 minutes, so you can control time of input with time of output :ugh3: But with both my two, after 15 minutes their food is ALL gone. No problem!

The woman who abused Patrick must not have been feeding him for a long, long time for him to be in that condition. It's incredible that she could see that dog every day and not have the thought occur to her that hey, this is an animal that needs FOOD!!! Doesn't look like she missed many meals herself.

I'm glad they increased the severity of the charges against her. Now it's "animal torture," not just "animal cruelty," so her punishment will be more severe.

This brought happy tears to my eyes: Patrick eating breakfast.

Finlay was 2 years old when I got him from NEAD and he was only 47 pound
when I got him from NEADS. He never weight more than 55 his whole life.
I fed him well , but he got cancer killed and I had to put him down , he was in pain ! :(

Same with my cat.

And that bitch will NOT adopt a cat or dog in the future because of this.

She claims that someone else gave her the dog, and she left it tied up on the balcony to her apartment when she left for a week, "hoping that someone else would adopt him."

What kind of chowderhead would DO a thing like that!! Some people are just not mentally right, that's all there is to it.

Whatdidyousay, I'm sorry about your Finlay. How old was he when he died? Dogs bring so much to our lives. In all my life, there have been only a few years when I didn't have at least one. Two are even better.

Are you familiar with "Paws with a Cause," in Michigan? They train hearing dogs for the deaf, too. (As well as other types of assistance dogs.) I've been a supporter of them for years.

It is still unexcusable and unacceptable. She should know better...if she could not keep Patrick, then call the animal shelter...it is not hard to do. Dumb gal.

Do you aware that she is working at a porn industry? (According to her facebook, it seems that her account is removed). Sick gal.

I had a dog before Hudson. My friend rescued her in Philadelphia and brought here into my old apartment in NJ. She was little bit dirty and We gave her a bath. Due to my severe financial problems, I realized I could not able to keep her. I only kept her for three days and I had to decide to call the no kill shelter to pick her up. It was a wrong timing for me at that time. I could not kick her outside.. I couldn't! I was told that I did the right thing even though my friend was upset and pissed off.

My financial outlook is so so, but I keep Hudson anyway.

Can you please fill me in that "Paws with a cause" if possible? My girlfriend lives in Michigan. I go to Michigan quite often. I would be possibly interested in training my Rottweiler to be a hearing ear dog.

As for the Patrick story, I have read about it on facebook.

Here is their website:

Paws With A Cause | Home

They do not train owners' personal dogs. They train dogs that they get from various sources, including breeding their own stock and from donations by private breeders. They do the raising and the training (working with volunteer "foster parents" who do the initial training and socialization of puppies). They will not place a hearing assistance dog into a household that has another dog less than 10 years old.

If you really want to train your own dog, you'll have to work privately with a trainer. There are some who are skilled in that work who will work with indivdual owners, after evaluating the dog to see if it has the necessary temperament and ability.
