GOP pick Ron Paul and Mitt Romney in straw poll

I do like Ron Paul but doesn't agree with some of his views, he is one of more libertarian that I like.
 
Republicans need to drop the old dogs and put up some new names.

John McCain looked like Hell at end of his president champagne , he was too old to deal with all the running around , I know I would not put my energy into a candidate in their 70! At least Sarah Palin was not one of the GOP pick!

People still honor Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington on their days, so why not honor Ronald Reagan? Why should it bother you? Does it interfere with your life somehow?

I think it nut to sing happy birthday and bake a cake for a dead man! I was never a fan of the guy!

Then you don't need to participate in it, do you? There's no harm to you if other's recognize his birthday.
 
Would love to see Rubio take a stab at it...he's young and up-and-coming...but seems it's too early for his consideration towards the Presidency....

The GOP are trying to use RR to win the 2012 election. Ronald's son said the his dad had Alzheimer when he ran for president his second term, if this is true I find it very disturbing to think we had someone running country with
Alzheimer! I remember seeing RR on TV and reporters were asking him questions , and RR answered bask "I can't hear you!" RR did this more than one time, after hearing what his son said , I think RR did not know the answers and pretend he didn't hear the reporters, RR could had gotten closer to the reporters if he was not able to her them! Now we had a VP that can hear reporters and I bet Obama wish Joe was HOH at time!

I wouldn't put RR in their category, but to each their own. Do you think we should have a federal holiday for RR? He did a good job. It has been downhill for the Conservatives ever since, IMHO. He was the Republican highlight of the last 30 years. G.H.W. Bush was ok; G.W. Bush was not.

Yes, especially considering his economic and occupational actions are still reverberating in a negative way not just here at home, but throughout the entire world.

The sooner we forget about Reagan, the better.

What people don't realize is that the positive and negative effects from the economy, environment, etc are often not the results of the current administration but the past administrations.

People realize it, but they tend to "spin" it to favor their viewpoint.

RR was hard of hearing and sometimes wore a hearing aid.

You never know for sure if any Presidents, young or old, have Alzheimer's until it's too late.

If RR did have Alzheimer's while in office (doubtful) he was still sharper than most government people (from both parties) around him. What does that same about them?

However, RR is not running for President in 2012.

I didn't say that he needed a federal holiday. We have enough federal holidays now. I guess he's already included in Presidents Day anyway.
