Four people were shot late Sunday afternoon outside a Walmart in Washington state, Kitsap County Sheriff's Department spokesman Scott Wilson said.

According to CNN affiliates KIRO, KCPQ, KOMO and KING, one person had been killed in the incident, which involved multiple sheriff's deputies.

The incident occurred near one of the retail giant's stores in Port Orchard, a town just west of Parkwood on Sinclair Inlet and across Puget Sound from Seattle.
