Hello all - Just found this site by accident - I was googling whether deaf people could drive, and the link was from here. I can't believe I found this. Anyway, my 49 y.o. husband has Meniere's Disease. He has lost the hearing in one ear, and when he went to the ENT a few days ago, the dr. said before he knew it, my husband would have a hearing aide in the good ear. I believe the hearing aide is just to buy time until the hearing in that ear goes. My husband feels it could be a long time before he loses the hearing in his ear ("what does the dr. know anyway?") but we have to be prepared that it could happen quickly. I hope to learn what would be helpful to prepare for this. So that's our story.
