I think nobody can except his own mama.

You crack me up! Yes, it will be easier for Californians to spell a simple name Brown LOL A bit of educational improvement

The end of the Governator era.

I wonder if he was a good governor compared with some of his contemporaries.

What about Jerry Brown? From what I know, he's considered one of the worst governors.
Brown did a wonderful job for my education when I was a kid. As for arnold, he destroyed my husband when he was injured at his job by gave workcomp more power and took 4 years for him to win a battle against workcomp at court but it is too late for him. He is permantely disabled forever which mean he will never go back to workplace ever thanks to idiot people alike him who had no idea what he done to my family and to many people who lost their jobs to him. Now I take care of him and take more burden around here for me and work to make living. It is tough for me right now. As for Brown, he is for education and jobs which it was great back then when he was governor. Many young people got jobs no problem under him unlikely under Arnold. Anyway people casted Davis out to bring Arnold all because of DMV fees and guess what Arnold did same thing 3 years ago by raised DMV fees. No one say anything about it. what waste our $$$ by recall Davis in first place which it should be leave him alone in first place.

i think he as faced with a tough job of trying to protect Hollywood in the midst of the global piracy problem from internet and overseas (China, New Zealand, Europe) becoming more competitive, even better than Hollywood's film success, largely because LA/California is so reliant on the bubble economy of the Hollywood's income....am i wrong?

like the trickle down effect of Hollywood's success plays a significant role in the 'health' of California's economy?

I don't believe so. California accounts for the largest economy of any state in the country. Agriculture (dairy, fruits, wine, vegetables, etc), tourism, international trade, oil, electricity, etc make up the economy there. There's also tons of big corporations established in the state as well including Apple.

LOL, where are you getting your information? TXgolfer and Kokonut?

Most of the criticism I see against him are all personal attacks based on his new age philosophies. And yet, when you look at the books, he was the most fiscally conservative governor in the last 30 years.

The only ones who consider him a bad governor are rightwing conservatives who resort to fratboy taunting mentalities. By many measures, his time in office was one of California's most prosperous.

I don't know much about Jerry Brown. I was only asking Jazzy because that's what I had read a few times in the past. Not to mention the ads they bombarded me with during my visit in California last October.

You know he ran that campaign on about 30 million dollars, while Meg Whitman spent well over 100 Million of her own money? I think that's a good indication of how capable he is with money and management.

I bet a large part of the $100 million went to bashing Jerry Brown.

I also heard that Whitman's potential voters were put off by the fact she seemed to think she could spend her way into becoming the next governor of California so they voted for Brown and the scandal over nannygate didn't help any.

Well, he is my Governor now (part time)..... *shrug* we shall see.

This place is in much worse shape than I thought....... I don't think Brown will succeed here. But I don't think anyone could.

If it is being said in the media that Meg tried to buy the office, why is it not also being said that Brown brought the office? $30 mil---$100 mil
potatoes---tomatoes
