We have it on some pumps here, but they aren't as long compared to the ones in the NY state.

I don't understand why people are sliding in and out of their vehicles and talking on the phone while pumping gas. While I pump gas, I pump gas, period. I hold on to the nozzle the whole time. It takes only a few minutes, so certainly doing other stuff can wait.

I let the nozzle do the pumping itself while I go around and clean my windshield, throw away some trash into trash can, walk a bit and stretch my legs, etc...

oh yeah, I see those. I thought it was for shock (springs) purposes

When I pump gas, I'll set it on auto then when it tops off I'll mess with it until it is an even dollar amount. I can't stand something odd cents, it has to be .00 on the nearest dollar amount. Why? I have no idea but I know if it is not .00 it drives me up the wall.

I don't initiate text messages, but if my phone vibrates while pumping, I'll check to see who it is from. That's about it.

It is just my way to do it.

In here, most gas stations have lock switch that you don't have to hold on nozzle at all time.

I had seen some people left car running while filling the gas.

It's also a good way to make a bad day happen.

For sure.

It's also illegal, and if the attendant sees you do that he will cut off the pump from inside. The other patrons will also scream at the guilty one.

I can't use the automatic locks for my Jeep. I have to gently squeeze it just right--too much or too little and it shuts off.

I don't know if the attendants around here do that, but thing is in the summer it would be difficult, but in the winter it would be easy to spot as there will be a plume of smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. About the only way this can be prevented is if automakers set a switch to the engine that the vehicle will not start if the gas cap has been removed.

Sometime, some gas attendants look around outside to check and talk to customers if they left car running while filling the gas.

same. Since I ride, I don't use credit card. That way - I save a couple bucks. I try to top it off to either .00 cent or in denominator of 25 cents. I carry some quarters in my bike bag.

because I like to sit in car until gas has filled to full.

I never experience any of static issue with gas and I maybe touch car first before touch the nozzle.
