This is definately a disturbed behavior.

Well, Barbara Bush is somewhat known for having a quirky personality.

Maybe I've been hanging around the labs too much...

Doesn't bother me for some reason.

I wonder if it was to be tested and that is why it was in the hospital in a jar. It's not like anybody said they kept it on the mantle at home.

Wouldn't necesarily bother me either...but I am a clinician. However, think of a child who sees something like this.

He was at least 16 years old. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Well, it may be viewed as disturbing by some and not by some. I don't really find this too disturbing though. I have seen dead fetuses in jars before, although not of a human being.

I just re-read the article... okay. I didn't realize that she had saved the fetus to be brought over to the hospital.

Hmm... well... every family has their moments of weirdness.

well im sure you've seen pictures or videos of human fetuses, aborted or not?

No, not when you are looking at the impact. It most likely made the impact worse. A younger child would not have the understanding that would make such an act impact a child negatively.

Do you consider Bush a child in this situation? What age would have been less impact?

At 16 I don't consider anyone, Bush included, to be an adult. That is why there is a different developmental catagorization for 16 year olds. They are known as "older children" or adolescents. And there are numerous recognized implications in the way they think and act that would contribute to the impact this would have on a 16 year old.
