That contradicts your own statement:

So you agree that if a Republican President had said that, we would have heard about it. Therefor, no Republican President said any such thing.

Nice job at twisting. Repubs make statements all the time that can be misinterpreted. And they have, no doubt made racial statements. You are attempting to imply that conservatives never, ever say anything untoward, and that their reputations and intents are all lily white. It's absurd.

And I agree to nothing of the kind, nor did I state anything of the kind. Merely your attempt to twist words.

Like I said, the slaves used to say "yessir, massa" as if they agreed. There are those blacks that won't raise a stink about something like this in public because they simply refuse to lower themselves to the same position the one making light of a very serious subject has. That doesn't mean they find it funny or amusing in any way. It means that they go along with it, and then, in private, talk about the insensitivity of whites to the history of oppression the black man has experienced in this country. In fact, I know several blacks, many in my family, that would treat such an incident is one that is so ignorant and presupposing that it is to be expected from the white who claims to have "not a racist bone in their body" but exhibits exactly the oppostive through their insensitivity.

My post wasn't about obama..... merely pointing out 2 incongruent statements..... :)

However.. since you mentioned it.....most blacks find the memory of riding in the back of the bus and drinking out of separate water fountains to be painful as well.


Oh and BTW.....I am not Republican :)

KKK is not funny because it's a symbol that is still alive and active. The backseat? Rosa Park anyone? No one rides in the back because of segregation anymore. So that's why one is socially acceptable and the other is not.
