later on I want to try out Taleggio cheese. Seems to be quite hard to find, however the cheese store 40 minutes away has it. Should I make the trek out?

Sure and maybe take the manure spreader with you....just in case...

Taleggio Cheese if that one you are talking about.

why not try it out and let us know what do you think of it. I have never tried it. I would try it if i knew it s here.

I am a cheese whore. I love cheese except American, cheddar, and bleu cheese...

I love trying to taste different kinds of cheeses. Yummy! Organic cheese is the best!

I am a cheese addict and trying not to fall off the wagon.

I think smoked Gouda is one of my more favorite kinds.

Love cheese! MMM! I am not very fond of American cheese....Swiss yuck!

Love and crazy over Extra sharp cheddar. MMM! I do like Pepper jack so good also!

We love cheese in this house...Of course I'll try few different kind of cheese.

I really like aged Swiss cheese sliced very thin. Then it is a good sandwich on thin toasted bread and tomatoes, with a little sea salt.

At our famer's market a lady makes chevre in various styles. All are superb.

I say to PFH - go for it. You will never know what you may have missed if you dont go.

I like sharp cheddar grated on apple pie. Odd huh? The chevre is the current favorite though.

Let us know about the experience.

x 2, am a cheese addict - I love cheese

Is that the cheese with a strong taste and smell?

I love vintage cheese, swiss cheese, and some kinds of cheese ( I don't like fruit cheese)

I suppose the smoked version has a stronger taste and smell than the non-smoked Gouda, but overall I don't think it is a strong smell. It does have its own distinctive taste like all other cheeses :)
Yeah, I recall disliking that cheese type, when I accidently ordered that for the coooking class in high school, I was making a chicken cordon Bleu

You wouldn't use that for a chicken cordon bleu. I understand you accidently ordered it. Gouda is great with crackers. And not the cheap crackers, either.

it was just according to the receipe that I followed and I was only 15 lol. I learnt my lesson and next time will use normal cheese.

We are a cheese loving family, but I am having to switch to lactose free cheese.

Did somebody say... CHEEEEEESSSEEEEEE???

Heh, I love cheese. Pretty much all of it. Goat milk cheeses are my favorite, especially goat gouda and goat chevre. Sheep milk cheeses are also really good, especially manchego. I also like very sharp cheddars from England and Ireland. Gorgonzola is great for pasta sauces and on pizza, especially when combined with smokey bacon and pickled chipotles.

I could pretty much continue on like this all day...

I spent a month in Southern France about six years ago and ate so many delicious cheeses. I can't remember the names of them now, but damn, they still haunt my dreams.
