What is "blind" patriotism?Blind Patriotism. It's un-American
No one here did that, so I don't understand to whom he was referring, if that's the same definition that he's using.is this an open question? sorry if I misunderstand...but for me, "blind patriotism" means - thinking the U.S. is great simply because we're the U.S. -not questioning any policies, thinking that things like "free trade" and other U.S. policies are the best and only way. That we can go to other places and say that their religions and cultures are "backward" or "wrong" as a whole and that we have the right to change them. "Bless the U.S.A" and nobody else. If someone questions it, then that person is considered "un-American".

Saying "God bless the USA" doesn't mean a person wants God to curse other countries. It also doesn't mean that a person doesn't recognize that the USA has problems.

I love America. I really do.![]()
But I find that a lot of Americans have no clue about other countries and their perceptions pretty much sync with the map.

I don't see anything wrong with loving and supporting one's country. That includes recognizing the things that are wrong with the country and striving to rectify those things.
