Of course I know how the internet works and yes the president can shut down the internet in the US. China can shut down their internet anytime they want. Of course shutting down the internet also has major drawbacks which means it would have to be one hell of an emergency.

Our internet and China's internet are designed differently. In China - it's centralized. In America - it's decentralized. Nearly impossible to shut it down. The President can only issue an order to ISP to shut it down.

No one owns the Internet., Even if Government takes control, there are always bypass to that. You could create your own Internet, don't you know that.

It only need two PC to make the Internet works, and government can't cut that off.

It is funny about what you were saying and I can't live without Windows 7 unless PC games are available in other OSes, the games for Mac OS X isn't wider as Windows does.
