that's odd.. Apple actually is copyright these names from others as such Cisco, on and on.. So, no questions in my mind that Apple is ripping off someone else creative work..

but MS copied some of Mac OS X stuffs.

Hate to say, every companies copy from others, including MS, Apple, Sony, Nintendo, etc.

Calling it such competiton to each other, what can they do? Get sued and waste a LOT of money for such nonsense? :hmm:

Dude, **Nevermind** ... Apple and Cisco already agreeed that apple can use cisco's IOS Trademark-

“Cisco has agreed to license the iOS trademark to Apple for use as the name of Apple’s operating system for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The license is for use of the trademark only and not for any technology.”

Even if it's 20 times stronger, it will BREAK because it is inherently brittle. In other words, if you break it, it'll break like that. It does not bend.

Plastics are not brittle, they're flexible so they don't "break" but they do warp under heat and they do get scratched easily.

But I do think they should have chosen the plastic because we have produced sturdy plastics coated with a special polymer film (that BluRay discs use) that is extremely resistent to scratches and won't break on impact. So, I am not sure why they kept using glass. I predict more breakages with the new iPhone 4. I'd definitely get a bumper for it. I predict Apple will start using plastics/metals afterwards.

I wonder if it's easy to fix broken glass since it's not "soldered" in like previous iPhones.

the apple cult followers,

Oh, Not again! Steve job told the world, Iphone 4 rebrand iOS 4. But Apple ACTUALLY rob Cisco IOS AGAIN, not ONCE! Look at Wikipedia, is your best friend! IOS is very old nickname!

Apple wasn't INVENT nor IDEA of nick name... Twice times, Apple stole nick names from Cisco Iphone and IOS.

I like to know the difference between robbing and taking technologies and improve it or make it even more useful?

Like this quote from Twain's letter to Helen Keller:

It takes a thousand men to invent a telegraph or a steam engine, or a phonograph, or a telephone, or any other important thing--and the last man gets the credit and we forget the others. He added his little mite--that ninety-nine parts of all things that proceed from the intellect are plagiarisms, pure and simple; and the lesson ought to make us modest. But nothing can do that.

lol. lotsa of hate there.

My wife and I will be flying to Sydney, Australia for our vacation and will buy 2 iPhone 4 phones. Bring home to United states and will work directly with T-Mobile.

Im suspecting that iOS 4 or baseband software contains code that locks to ATT only after purchase in United States which I dont want it.

After I had conservation with my relative today and they offered to sign up the att for me to buy iPhone 4G without need high deposit.

Now, I'm thinking about it.

I know about it. I will pay for insurance in SquareTrade if buying new iPhone.
yes You need that..

1) Yes thought exactly!

2) Apple should choose Gorilla Glass as FTW! Have you seen Dell Streak's Gorilla Glass video clip @ Engadget <click?

3) Good Q.. I am sure they will fix it. but it will be more cost you like 180 to 300 dollars for the replacment one (new screen) and labor. month ago, i had seen iP4 shell house include screen glass that china selling, before Apple announced the iPhone 4 at WWDC. like china selling the replacement screen for HTC HD2 thru ebay.

Like this quote from Twain's letter to Helen Keller:
Yes, But please remember that they protect their own patent. they don't wanted others take their invent technoloy and improve it.. Like Apple planned to sue HTC for patent infringement.

Anyway I like quote of Twain's letter to Helen Keller. thanks for share.. ;)

**Curiously**, why you have to put the high deposit?

because of no credit score and I'm avoid to get credit card until I get stable job after college graduation in 5 years. There is possible of network abuse in past due 2 ETF in 2008 but att rep denied it.

My deposit was $500 in last year then I just denied the service and left, I heard about some people got good credit score to have pay $750 deposit, I was like OUCH! and what is wrong with att.

oh sweet... I am getting iPhone 4 as a gift from my friend's mom!
